Instead of heavy torrents, rain typically comes in the form of a constant, light drizzle, escalating to thunder an average of only seven days per year. The authors of the text in question, Joseph J. Darowski and Kate Darowski, are self-confessed Frasier fans with a background in different ambits of cultural study (the former as editor of the “Ages of Superheroes” essay series and author of X-Men and the Mutant Metaphor: Race and Gender in the Comic Books and the latter having researched the history of decorative arts and design). Above all, they share a mutual appreciation for all things Crane. From a structural perspective, the book is divided into two parts: “Part I: Making A Classic” and “Part II: Under Analysis”. Each section is further subdivided into four separate topics. The first deals with: the evolution of Cheers to the emergence of Frasier Crane; the story behind the eclectic cast; character profiles of Frasier, Niles, Martin and Eddy; and finally, a discussion of Daphne and Roz. The second part, as the name suggests, is more academically inclined with chapters examining ongoing character development in the Crane household; an in-depth look at Frasier’s apartment from structural and aesthetic perspectives, as well as in contrast to Niles’s home at the Montana; an analysis of set decoration, particularly chairs; and lastly, the representation of women, gender and race.

Fox Television Network In 1985 Rupert Murdoch, after acquiring the Twentieth Century Fox studio for a total of $575 million through his holding company, News Corporation (NewsCorp), decided to start a fourth broadcast network on the advice of Barry Diller, the highly sought-after ex- ecutive recently recruited to Fox from industry leader Paramount Studios. NewsCorp purchased Metromedia from media mogul John Kluge, gaining control of seven key in- dependent TV stations in several large East Coast cities and Los Angeles. Fox quickly lined up 88 additional independent stations to become its network affiliates and launched the Fox Television Network in 1986. Initially the network reached only 60% of the coun- try and aired original network programming only one night a week, on Sunday. Everyone in the industry thought Diller and Murdoch crazy. At the time the big three networks had a combined television viewing share of 93%. To attract viewers away from them, Fox chose to go after two key demographics: youth, a group coveted by advertis- ers, and African-Americans.     Custer County Sheriff’s Office Shooting Summary Detailing Events That Took Place on January 3rd, 2021 On 01-03-21, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) requested the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred at 811 Montgomery Street, Custer, SD. The suspect, Jared Frasier, was shot three times by a Custer County Sheriff’s Deputy, hereinafter referred to as Deputy. As a result of the shooting, Frasier suffered life threatening injuries. The following is a synopsis of the events that occurred on 01- 03-21, and the investigation that was conducted by the DCI. Synopsis At approximately 9:16 PM on 01-03-21, Custer County Dispatch received a 911 call from a female who said she needed help now, provided an address of 811 Montgomery Street and ended the call. At approximately 9:17 PM, a Custer County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived on scene and approached the residence on foot. The Deputy heard possible yelling from within the residence. The Deputy knocked on the door and made contact with an adult female and a juvenile male. The adult female escorted the Deputy into the residence. A juvenile male immediately got on the ground as if he expected to get caught in possible crossfire. The juvenile male then made his way into his bedroom, which was the first door to the left within the residence. The adult female called for Frasier as she and the Deputy approached Frasier’s bedroom door. Frasier exited the bedroom with a handgun in his right hand and the adult female told him to put it away.
