This attractive home is no exception and boasts outbuildings, an annexe and a swimming pool too. The lifestyle on offer is sure to appeal and the chance to start your story anew.” • A wonderful Grade II Listed Georgian Family Home, standing in approximately 3 acres (stms) of Formal Gardens within the village of Tasburgh • With a Separate Cottage/Annexe • Five/Six Bedrooms; Three Bathrooms • Four Receptions • Spacious Breakfast Kitchen • Original Character throughout with Sash Windows, Exposed Beams, Delightful Open Fireplaces and High Ceilings • Formal Gardens include a Range of Outbuildings; Orchard and Wildlife Pond • Double Garage; Additional Parking • Heated Swimming Pool • The Accommodation extends to 4,566sq.ft • No EPC Required A wonderful family home on the outskirts of a popular village, with easy access to Norwich, this property has so much to recommend it. The house and gardens have been upgraded by the owners and now offer the chance for you to live in your dream home, with plenty of space for family and friends, including a versatile annexe. Finding The Perfect Place This eye-catching abode is Grade II listed with a quintessential Georgian frontage that’s been extended over the years to provide an additional wing and an annexe. The owners came here looking for a place in which to raise their family – they were attracted by the lifestyle this offered and have found the home and gardens alike have more than met their expectations ever since. “We could see it was a gem,” they explain, “And we loved the idea of being close to Norwich but having so much space to call our own, inside and out.” A Place To Make Memories The property has great kerb appeal as it’s a hugely attractive house – and inside continues to charm. There are two sizeable receptions to the front of the house, one of which is particularly impressive and the owners have found it perfect for larger groups and gatherings. With a choice of four receptions, you can have a playroom, formal dining room, library or whatever it is you’re after, plus there’s plenty of space for families to spread out and do their own thing. Despite its size, this is a comfortable and welcoming home and the owners say it has a wonderful happy feel to it. “We’ve always felt so relaxed here. The kids always have friends over and they can stay for the whole weekend without any of us getting under each other’s feet. It’s great to know they’re having lots of fun but also that they’re safe.” The big family Christmas gatherings are another highlight, filling the drawing room with relatives, everyone catching up with each other and the hosts lighting the wood burner to enhance the festive feel. • Parish Registers and Transcripts in the Norfolk Record Office
Parish Registers and Transcripts in the Norfolk Record Office This list summarises the Norfolk Record Office’s (NRO’s) holdings of parish (Church of England) registers and of transcripts and other copies of them. Parish Registers The NRO holds registers of baptisms, marriages, burials and banns of marriage for most parishes in the Diocese of Norwich (including Suffolk parishes in and near Lowestoft in the deanery of Lothingland) and part of the Diocese of Ely in south-west Norfolk (parishes in the deanery of Fincham and Feltwell). Some Norfolk parish records remain in the churches, especially more recent registers, which may be still in use. In the extreme west of the county, records for parishes in the deanery of Wisbech Lynn Marshland are deposited in the Wisbech and Fenland Museum, whilst Welney parish records are at the Cambridgeshire Record Office. The covering dates of registers in the following list do not conceal any gaps of more than ten years; for the populous urban parishes (such as Great Yarmouth) smaller gaps are indicated. Whenever microfiche or microfilm copies are available they must be used in place of the original registers, some of which are unfit for production. A few parish registers have been digitally photographed and the images are available on computers in the NRO's searchroom. The digital images were produced as a result of partnership projects with other groups and organizations, so we are not able to supply copies of whole registers (either as hard copies or on CD or in any other digital format), although in most cases we have permission to provide printout copies of individual entries.

  • South Norfolk Council Electoral Review
South Norfolk Council Electoral Review Warding Patterns Submission September 2016 1 Contents 1. Foreword 2. Introduction 2. Proposed Warding Arrangements 3. Equality of Representation 4. Community Identities and Interests 5. Convenient and effective local government 6. Conclusion 1. Foreword South Norfolk is earmarked for significant growth. By 2022, the number of electors within parts of our District, including Costessey, Wymondham and Long Stratton will have increased substantially. We have been required, as a result of the present electoral variance within the Old Costessey Ward to undertake a review of the District Ward Boundaries at this stage, even though we recognise that ideally this process would have followed on from a Parish Boundary review. Having sought clarity regarding the criteria employed by the Local Government Boundary Commission to undertake this review, we have felt compelled to employ a strict adherence to the “10% principle” – that no ward should be more or less than 10% from the average and, in practice, as close to the average as possible. We must redraw the lines following the requirements of the Commission, ensuring that a Parish does not sit in two different District Wards, unless it is also warded. However, this has led to a number of dilemmas in fine-tuning our proposals that our communities will rightly highlight to you. Nonetheless, as much as our communities may favour alternative arrangements, we also recognise that just because a Parish or Town lies in a different District Ward, our communities do not necessarily change. Community organisations will still bind them together, based on their commonalities – and in some cases differences.
