From 6pm, there will be a DJ visitors onsite, playing Jazz, Funk and Soul music. There will also be live music throughout the evening. The music level will go through a limiter. Music will be positioned away from residential areas on the bandstand in the grounds.The sound will be monitored throughout the night by the Castle's maintenance team to ensure adherence to licensing requirements. Alcohol will be served onsite with last orders being called at 10.30pm. It is expected that all visitors will vacate the site by 11.30pm. 14 - 15 August 2021 Black Knight Historical: War of the Roses event 10am 6pm History reenactment - Up to 1200 Yes This event includes firearm and weaponry during the day, average per hour 500 demonstrations. Wolfhead Bowmen 10am 6pm History reenactment - Up to 1200 Yes This event does not feature firearms only archery 28 - 30 August 2021 during the day, average per hour 500 muster reenactments. The Pantaloons present: Pride and Prejudice 7pm 9.30pm Outdoor theatre - 300 attendees No The actors will not be using any amplification for this 03-Sep-21 performance. There may be some audible applause. Outdoor Cinema: The Princess Bride 6pm 9.30pm Outdoor cinema - 300 attendees Yes The film will be projected outdoors on the Middle 04-Sep-21 Bailey. From 6pm on the 25th, there will be music, speeches and dinner and some dancing. There will be live music throughout the evening which we understand to be acoustic. From 6pm, there will be music, art, poetry, food and drink. There will also be live music throughout the evening. The music level will go through a limiter. Music will be positioned away from residential areas on the bandstand in the grounds.The sound will be monitored throughout the night by the Castle's maintenance team to ensure adherence to licensing requirements. Alcohol will be served onsite with last orders being called at 10.30pm. It is expected that all visitors will vacate the site by 11 30pm 29 - 31 October 2021 Black Knight Historical: Witches and Wizards event 10am 6pm Halloween event - numbers tbc No This event does not feature firearms or battle reenactments. 1-31 December 2021 Christmas events 5pm 9pm Christmas event - numbers tbc Yes Please note that this event is currently being built. It is currently suggested that from 6pm each day, there will be piped Christmas music. The music level will go through a limiter. Music will be positioned away from residential areas probably on the bandstand in the grounds.The sound will be monitored throughout the night by the Castle's maintenance team to ensure adherence to licensing requirements. Alcohol will be served onsite via a pop up shop - featuring mulled wine . It is expected that all visitors will vacate the site by 9pm. The event will not run on the 24-26 December inclusive as the Castle will be closed. .
