(Jerry) Wells, Philadelphia native and Philly based media professional, has been a fixture in Philadelphia radio for over 30 years. A popular personality on iHeart Media’s WDAS-FM for many years, his radio roots go back beyond working on other Philly area stations to his college days at Temple University’s radio station, WRTI; and as a KYW News radio “student reporter” in high school. Jerry Wells, impact upon Philadelphia listeners help to build a solid foundation for the WDAS-FM radio audience. His contributions are also apart of the seventy years of great music and WDAS-FM legacy. Tony began his professional radio career at WDAS FM in the mid 1970's with a program called "The Extra Sensory Connection," a forerunner to The Quiet Storm. He went over to rival at the time, Power 99 FM WUSL and hosted late nights. When the two stations became owned by the same company, Tony returned to WDAS FM, to host the early evening slow jams program. Last year Tony Brown celebrated 45 years in radio with the majority of those years at WDAS FM beginning in 1972 with the Extra Sensory Connection from 10 PM to 2 AM along with the Midnight Transition.
