POWER 99 FM ANNOUNCES “PEACE ON THE STREET JAM” IN CAMDEN FEATURING BEI WITH A SPECIAL APPEARANCE BY LUPE FIASCO

SCHOLARSHIP TO BE AWARDED BY POWER 99 FM AND FUTURES

Philadelphia – July 20, 2012 – Clear Channel Media and Entertainment’s top-rated Philadelphia radio station Power 99 FM today announced that Peace on the Street Jam, a series of three events that provides communities with resources to prevent violence and increase peace, will hold its second event Thursday, July 26 from 6-8 p.m. The event will take place in “Pink Elephant Park” also known as Robert Johnson Park in Camden, and will feature a performance by Grammy-nominated recording artist Bei Maejor with a special appearance by Lupe Fiasco. Also performing will be local Camden artists Young Poppa and Ju-Taun.

Philadelphia’s Power 99 has teamed up with Camden City Board of Education, Camden’s School Based Youth Services Program, Camden City’s Office of the Mayor and Camden Community Outreach Specialist Stan White to promote peaceful interaction within local communities to help stop violence. Power 99 and Philadelphia Futures, an organization dedicated to providing life-changing programs and resources to Philadelphia’s economically disadvantaged, college- bound students, will award their second $1,000 scholarship to a deserving, high-potential scholar.

Peace on the Street Jam will include a live performance by , producer and recording artist Bei Maejor who has been behind the successes of multiple chart-topping artists. He signed with Jive/RCA Records in 2010 and has worked with a range of acclaimed performers such as Ne-Yo, , and Tiesto. Grammy winner Lupe Fiasco will make a special appearance and take the stage to speak out against violence in local neighborhoods.

The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m., July 26, 2012 at Robert Johnson Park, located at 8th and Thurman St., Camden NJ 08104 (locally known as “Pink Elephant Park.”) Admission is Free.
