& COMMUNITY COUNCIL Meeting held on Thursday 18th October 2018 in Murroes Community Council at 7.30pm.

Present: AM(Vice Chair); G. Reid(Treas); G. Anderson(Youth Rep); G. Cowper(Secy); PC S. Wilson; PC C Stewart; Cllr B. Lawrie; S. Breen(Angus Council Community Planning); Cllr S. Hands; S. Black. Apologies: S. Anderson(Chair/Planning); D. Murdoch.

The Acting Chair opened the meeting and welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Matters Arising Petterden – GC stated she had attended an outdoor meeting with SA, as part of the Liaison Group, to the Petterden site. The meeting coincided with DJ Laings planning application to extend the site etc. This had helped those in attendance, understand what the company intended to carry out at the site to benefit themselves, the surroundings and neighbours.

Police Report There had been several incident in the area. In August there had been an incident at the travelling site. In September, an caravan had been abandoned near DJ Laings site. A trailer had been stolen from a small holding and another from Balcalk. A sneak theft had taken place at Tinkletap but had been detected. Equipment had gone missing from the old Baldragon playing fields. Suspicious males had been sighted eyeing up a van in a driveway in Kellas Road. Hare coursing had taken place at . PC Wilson stated 2 bids had been submitted for pop up speed signs at Westhall Terrace and Birkhill and he hoped they would be accepted. PC Wilson and PC Stewart left the meeting.

Treasurer Report £1261 was in the bank. Hall Rentals and expenses were still to be paid. Donations of £100 were to be made to Murroes School, Mattocks and High. A donation was also made to Lippen Care. Lippen Care is situated at Whitehills Hospital in .

Planning There were no planning applications to cause concern.

Roads The new sign for Westhall Terrace was now situated at the T junction at Duntrune House. It is hoped this will help delivery drivers etc. C6 is having drainage installed from Cotton of Brighty to Myreton Farm along with road repairs. Hopefully the rest of the road will be repaired in the next financial year.
