Participation in the Ratite Medicine and Management Training Program for county extension agents, Texas Agricultural Extension Service, 1993. Telephone Consultation- Provide specialist advice to veterinarians in private practice regarding zoological medicine, particularly in the area of ratite medicine and management. 1990- present Wildlife and Exotic Animal Tours for Board of Regents, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brazos Valley Museum, Texas Science Teachers’ Alliance and other educational groups. TEACHING EXPERIENCE Teaching Responsibilities Current responsibilities are teaching one professional course for veterinary students and two undergraduate courses. VMID 912 is a clinical course taught to 132 first year veterinary students in the fall semester. VMID 913 is a clinical course taught to 132 first year veterinary students in the spring semester VTPP 323 is a physiology course taught to 140-150 undergraduates students annually. VTPP 485 Problems at the Wildlife and Exotic Animal Center is taken by 35-40 students annually.
