Nora’s News ~ Balance is the Key to Life! It occurred to me as I was rushing around this past week, just how busy our lives seem to be. I was thinking in order to fit in all that is on my appointment planner, I would have to change the size of the calendar to triple the original size. As the days are flying by so quickly, are we taking time to balance our lives? Are we maintaining a good source of wellness, which includes good physical and mental health? Webster’s Dictionary, yes, I still have a Webster’s Dictionary, defines wellness as … the condition of good physical and mental health.

You know, I think the reason we hear so much about balancing our lives is because there are so many demands on our time, striking a balance is necessary for survival, and more importantly to thrive. Did you ever hear about the Senior who retired and now can’t imagine fitting in a 40 hour a week job into the current demands on their day? Achieving a balanced life is a choice, a decision you make to move toward understanding that a balanced life does not have an end point. By that I mean that you may have a terrific, well-thought, balanced day planned, and you get in your car to come to The Center, and your car doesn’t start. How frustrating can that be. These are the little things that can and will effect your mind, body, and spirit. BUT, health and happiness are possible in each and every moment of your day, even when things are not necessarily going our way. When you concentrate on “Striking a Balance”, it becomes our pursuit PALM ISLAND toward physical, emotional, and mental optimum health. Striking a balance in these areas can be a challenge but necessary in achieving our goal to live a balanced life. Award Winning 55+ Apartment Community in Recently, I heard a great analogy, living a balanced life is like the spokes on a wheel, the closer they Fountain Valley are in length, the more even the ride. Remember, there are many things in our life that bring us joy, 714.546.5404 laughter, and at time tears. But, these are all valuable, yes, even the tears...this will strengthen our efforts to achieve a balanced life. Many factors take a part in enjoying an abundant life, keep them in www.rentpalmisland.com balance and you will certainly maintain a higher level of wellness and satisfaction. Remember, the next time you go to start you car and it doesn’t start, don’t stress out, grab a book, call a friend, watch a favorite TV show, or just sit back and take time to smell the flowers. Now that’s what I call a balanced life!

Here are a few more tips I recently came across. Be grateful. Stop and think about the things you have and appreciate them. Exercise. Keep moving, keep moving, keep moving. Get plenty of sleep. The more you sleep, the better you’ll feel the next day. Breathe Deeply. Just stop and take a deep breath. Life is a gift. Spend more time with your family and friends. In our busy lives we need to make time for the people that matter most to us. Live your SeaCliff Home Care Family owned and operated passion. Do more of what you love to do. Get outdoors.
