NN14 3AH Telephone: 01832 737958 Email: [email protected] 05 September 2008 Dear Mr Leigh, East Northamptonshire Rural North, Oundle and Thrapston Plan In terms of the Schedule of Proposed Changes to the policy wording for the East Northamptonshire Rural North, Oundle and Thrapston Plan, Twywell Parish Council have no objections. In relation to the state of Site Allocation Representation the Parish Council strongly object to item 02826 – Land to the rear of Gordonville, Slipton Road – Land should be included in village boundary – on the following grounds: • This area is in open countryside • This area is included as open countryside in the upcoming Conservation Boundary Review • Results of the an independent arboreal survey indicating the importance of the site • The importance of the site in determining the shape and characteristic of the village • Provision of the site as an important public visual amenity • Provision of important wildlife habitats • Recently agreed and amended Parish Built Settlement boundary. The Parish Council also draw the commission’s attention to the recent support on maintaining the site outside the village boundary from East Northamptonshire Council, namely: • Conservation Department – Mr L Mills • Planning Department – Mr M Burton • Tree Officer – Ms T Dennis Consequently, the Parish Council desire to retain this area as an important contributor to the conservation character of the village outside the village boundary. In terms of item 02810 – Land opposite allotments and Alledge Drive, Thrapston Road – Twywell Parish Council have concerns regarding the development in open countryside and its highly visual nature from the parish of Twywell. Council are concerned that its proposed development remains unclear in design and its contribution to the community and the area. Peter Schneidereit Clerk to Twywell Parish Council .
