Penrith-based Paul Bird Motorsport wrapped up their 2015 MCE British Su- perbike Championship season at Brands Hatch whereby four-times and out- going champion Shane 'Shakey' Byrne did so in fine style with three podiums to secure 2nd place overall in the title race. Shane Byrne said: “We'll come back next year and try our best to win it back.” Paul Bird, the team owner, commented: “Shakey gave it his all from start to finish and we couldn't have asked for any more from him. He rode and performed like the champion we all know he is. It closes a chapter in BSB for us, but with our new Ducati deal another one's about to open and we can't wait.” In another unforgettable season, ‘Shakey’ claimed 17 podiums, nine fastest laps and won seven 1st place finishes.

19-year-old driver Paige Bellerby made history by becoming the first female to win a round of the MSA Super National Championship outright in her Lotus Exige backed by FUCHS. Alexandre Giroud crowned by the President of the FFM

The press conference and award ceremony of the FFM (French Federation of Motorcycling) was held on the prestigious premises of the Automobile Club of France in Paris. To celebrate the 2015 multiple French champions, Jean-Pierre Mougin (Vice- President of the National Olympic and French Sports Committee), Jacques Bolle (President of the FFM), Sébastien Poirier (General Manager of FFM), Pierre Bonneville (FFM Director of Communications) and Michel Leroy (FFM Administrative and Financial Di- rector) were present. This year, ten world titles, four wins in the World Cup and six European titles have been won by French racers. Jacques Bolle failed to recall some figures during the press conference. “Good news overall”, he said. “The FFM has nearly 100,000 members and that number has increased by 5% this year, including day circuit passes. 1,300 events were organized in 2015, a new record!” At the end of the press conference, the title winners were the stars of the ceremony.
