Leslie Carothers-Aromaa is a former principal dancer with the and Pennsylvania Ballet. She was featured on television in Dance in America's A Night at The Joffrey, televised on PBS. She has danced principal roles in works by , Sir Frederick Ashton, Jiri Kylian, Twyla Tharp, Anthony Tudor, John Cranko, and Mark Morris, amongst many others, and danced the leads in many of the full-length classical , including , Giselle, Coppelia, Romeo and Juliet, and Sleeping Beauty. During her career, leading roles were created for her by Robert Joffrey, William Forsythe, Gerald Arpino, Dwight Rhoden, and others. Carothers-Aromaa has served as Dance Institute Director, Artistic Director, Ballet Chair, and dance faculty at The Colburn School of Performing Arts. Currently, she teaches both ballet and Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® nationally and internationally and serves as a Mentor and Managing Board Member of the Zena Rommett Floor-Barre Foundation.

Ellen Bauer danced professionally as a member of the National Ballet of Canada, and Los Angeles Ballet. Her principal roles have included many of Balanchine’s master works: ; Rubies, from the ballet, ; , (after Petipa), Scotch Symphony, , Swan Lake Act II, Valse Fantaisie, and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux. Other repertoire includes leading roles in Coppelia, , Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, Flower Festival Pas de Deux, among other ballets.

Nicole Hlinka danced with the for almost twenty-five years. At the request of George Balanchine, she joined the company in 1975, dancing her first principal role, Harlequinade, the following year. Her many ballets included Balanchine’s Coppélia, Donizetti Variations, Theme and Variations, Scotch Symphony, and , of which the New York Times wrote she “danced on a level of perfection that is rarely encountered.” In 2010, Ms. Hlinka was named Associate Project Director of the George Balanchine Foundation’s Archives, where she co-produced and directed live and video projects. She also edited a vast library of dance video, preparing it for viewing at the New York Public Library, Harvard’s Theatre Collection, and the Yale Film Study Center. A writer, teacher and arts researcher, Ms. Hlinka lives in the New York City area with her husband, editor and writer Robert Love.

Ashley Ellis is a Principal dancer with The Boston Ballet. She began her dance training in Southern California and joined ’s Studio Company before joining American Ballet Theatre. In addition, she was a Grand Prize Finalist in The Music Center’s Spotlight program as well as a Coco Cola Scholarship recipient. Principal roles include: Natalia Makarova’s & Florence Clerc’s La Bayadère, Mikko Nissinen’s Swan Lake; the Nutcracker, Sir Fredrick Ashton’s The Sleeping Beauty, , Le Rendezvous, , John Cranko’s Onegin, Yuri Possokhov’s , Ivan Liska’s Le Corsaire, George Balanchine’s Coppelia, , Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Who Cares?, , Divertimento #15, Allegro Brilliante, Jewels, Theme and Variations, , William Forsythe's Artifact, ’ Fancy Free, The Concert, Christopher Wheeldon’s Polyphonia, Jiri Kylian’s Petite Mort. Lorin Johnson performed with the before joining the American Ballet Theatre under the directorship of . At ABT, he worked with choreographers such as Agnes DeMille, Ulysses Dove, Kenneth Macmillan, Jerome Robbins, Glen Tetley, Twyla Tharp, and Clark Tippet. Johnson's choreography has been presented at such venues as the Garage Museum in Moscow, the Fabbrica Europa Dance Festival in Florence, and with the Pacific Symphony at Segerstrom Concert Hall. Mr. Johnson has given master classes in the U.S. and abroad, including at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia, and served on the faculty of American Ballet Theatre’s summer intensive program since 2004. Mr. Johnson is currently Assistant Dean of the College of the Arts at California State University, Long Beach.
