Unfortunately, the current political conditions that has also led to the suspension of disbursement on March 11, 2015, has put most activities on hold. The situation is also delaying the declaration of effectiveness of the Additional financing even though it was already signed by both the Bank and the Government of Yemen. Meanwhile, students of the first batch of six four-year programs (Biochemical Program – Thamar University, Computer Science Program- Hajjah University, Applied Physics Program- Ibb University, and Business Administration Program – AlHodidah University, Basic Education Program – Sana’a University, and Marine Biology Program- Hadramout University) are expected to graduate during 2016. In addition, the construction of the Mechatronics program building in Sanaa University was successfully completed (with delays) with the support of a Yemeni businessman.
