Chorus to finish. To all of you reading this today, I hope you have been blessed by the words in these songs. I myself this week have found myself shifting from a place of acceptance and peace that all of this is out of our control and to just trust God; to place where I am now uncomfortable and upset and plain tired! I have been impatient most days with others and cross or sharp at work and with family. Following on from that I found myself annoyed that I let myself behave that way. As the weekend approached I had songs to pick for the service and turned on the radio on my way to work in the hopes I might get some inspiration. For me the message was clear: My identity is in Christ, He is in me, I carry Him with me everywhere I go. I am not forsaken or forgotten and His love for me goes beyond my failures. I am a child of God and he will work all things together for our good.

It is so important in these strange times to work out how it is that God is speaking to us and how he can use us in what we presume is a limited capacity in our own homes (Let’s not limit God!)

God is so evident to me in music: creativity/peace/motivation/reassurance/responsibility- all can be found in our songs this morning. So hopefully if these songs (or others) replay in your head during the week ahead, why not do a bit of research and find out where the writers have found their inspiration in the scriptures and perhaps God will speak to You there.

Other songs I struggled to rule out for this morning include:

1. No longer slaves: Bethel Music

2. Who you say I am:

3. Way maker: Leeland

4. Sovereign over us: Aaron Keyes

5. Your love Never fails: Jesus Culture

6. One Thing Remains: Jesus Culture

If you look any of these up on YouTube/Google/ Spotify/ITunes you should be able to find them (If you so desire)

Blessings all!
