1. To develop quality bench marks / parameters for various Academic and Administrative activities of the Institution. Quality bench marks / parameters are developed in the following broad areas: A) Admission Quality: i. EAMCET, ECET, ICET and GATE / PGECET ranks of students admitted. ii. Percentage of marks / grade in the qualifying examination of students admitted. B) Curriculum i. Industry / professional societies participation in curriculum design and development. ii. Quality and relevance of curriculum to the present day industrial / societal needs. iii. Flexibility C) Teaching – Learning: a) Students: i. Pass percentage, first divisions, distinctions and ranks. ii. Results progression. iii. Success rate in competitive examinations. iv. Placements. v. Startups established vi. Training programs / workshops conducted vii. Participation in academic endeavours and achievements. viii. Participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and achievements.

b) Faculty: i. Qualification and experience. ii. Achievements. iii. Learning resources developed. iv. Students projects guided and quality of projects. v. Use of ICT and innovative teaching practices followed. vi. New labs established / experiments setup. vii. Faculty Development / Training Programs organized and attended.

Resolution: It is resolved to review the fulfillment of all the above quality parameters by presenting the required data in every subsequent meetings of the IQAC.

2. Any other matter with the permission of the chair. i. It is suggested to organize TQM related programs. ii. It is also suggested to organize workshops on curriculum design and modern pedagogy.

1. To present the report of Academic and Administrative Audit conducted for the period from 1 st January 2014 to 31 st December 2014.

The internal Academic and Administrative Audit conducted for the calendar year 2014 is presented. The details of the report are presented in Annexure – I (See page No. 2)

2. To evolve action plan for academic betterment and up-gradation. It is resolved to implement the following action plan for academic betterment and up- gradation:  Curriculum revision in every three years.  Involving industry and academia in the design and development of curriculum.  Developing industry oriented curriculum.  Introducing choice based credit system.  Making the laboratory / project part of the syllabus in every subject.  Up-grading the laboratories with state-of-art facilities.

3. To evolve the methods of improving competencies of teachers and students.  Providing training on modern pedagogy and the use of ICT in teaching-learning.  Arranging industrial training on cutting edge technologies.  Conducting workshops on latest technologies.  Sponsoring for Ph.D. Programs in premier institutes on QIP.  Deputing the students to internships during semester breaks.  Conducting training on various tools / software.  Arranging training on soft skills, communication skills and presentation skills.

4. Any other matter with the permission of the chair. i) It is suggested to develop the software to maintain the institutional database for future analysis and decision making.

Minutes of the Third Meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell held on 08-08-2015, Saturday at 02-30 PM in the Management Conference Hall.

3.01 To assess the quality parameters developed and followed during the academic year 2014-15. The quality parameters such as admissions, participation of Industry experts in the curriculum design and the flexibility provided in the form of core and open electives, students performances in the semester end examinations, co-curricular and extra- curricular activities, training programs / workshops organized, faculty development programs conducted, faculty achievements, etc. are reviewed. The details are given in Annexure – I (See Page No. 2) 3.02 To review the strategies adopted in creating learners-centric environment conducive to quality education. Learner-centric environment that has been provided and being followed during the current academic year is reviewed. The following are the learner-centric approaches adopted:

 Use of ICT and adopting modern pedagogical techniques.  Arranging Guest lectures on advanced topics by the Eminent Academicians and industry experts.  Setting Innovative assignments to cater the requirements of meritorious students.  Conducting seminars by students on certain portion of the syllabus.  Encouraging the students to undertake design / analysis based project works in the industry.  Introducing the laboratory component in all thrust areas along with theory subjects.  Conducting Group discussions and technical quizzes.

3.03 To discuss and approve Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to the NAAC for the academic year 2014-15. The Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) prepared for the academic year 2014-15 is presented and the same is approved for submitting to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). 3.04 Any other matter with the permission of the chair. i. Members opined to conduct the Academic and Administrative audit for the calendar year 2015 by the external experts. ii. It is recommended to provide a common incubation center for core branches of Engineering to take up multi disciplinary projects by the students.

The central library is provided with DELTA-R5 Server with 6TB SAN storage.  The library is a member of DELNET and provides web access to 1,21,08,793 Records of books, Periodicals, Theses, Dissertations. It is connected with 2196 libraries in 32 states in India and other countries.  Access to the project reports.  Access to the e-journals/NPTEL video lectures.

(iv) Maintenance of institutional database through MIS. The institutional data base is partially maintained using ECAP software. Full-fledged data base management system is yet to be introduced.

(v) Maintenance of infrastructural facilities. The Academic infrastructure and facilities provided in the college are maintained with proper mechanism and well defined procedures. The project engineer takes care of the maintenance task with the help of project officer, civil maintenance supervisor, general maintenance supervisor, electrical maintenance supervisor and other supporting staff. Project officer attends to the assigned work through the concerned supervisors and associated supporting staff. The regular maintenance of infrastructure and facilities is in place with specifically laid down guidelines and monitoring mechanisms. The specific issues of maintenance are communicated to the Principal through proper channel for necessary instructions to project engineer / project officer. 4.01 To review the various academic activities of the departments and institute since last meeting. The Principal has presented a report on various academic activities taken up during the current academic year and the achievement of the students in co-curricular & extra-curricular activities, placements provided, industrial visits arranged, faculty development programs conducted, faculty publications, etc. The details are given in Annexure – I (See page No. 2) The Principal has suggested the Heads of the Departments to conduct some more training programs for students and faculty development programs and utilize the funds allotted before 31 st March 2016. He also suggested utilizing the budget allotted under in-house R&D projects. 4.02 To discuss the methodologies to be adopted for improving the technical, programming and communication skills of the students . The various methodologies to be adopted for improving the technical, programming and communication skills are discussed. The following methodologies are recommended to adopt from the 2nd year onwards for all classes of B.Tech:  Reviewing the fundamental concepts and applications of some of the prominent engineering subjects which are likely stressed in interviews and has more weightage in competitive examinations two periods in a week.  Conducting special classes and training sessions on Programming Skills by industry experts on Saturdays and internal faculty during week days.  Arranging training on Communication Skills two periods in a week by internal and external faculty.  Conducting pre-placement training classes four periods per week by internal and external trainers. 4.03 Any other matter with the permission of the chair. i. Minutes of the Fifth Meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell held on 25-02-2016, Thursday at 02-00 PM in the Management Conference Hall.

5.01 To present the report of Academic and Administrative Audit conducted for the period from 1 st January 2015 to 31 st December 2015 and to discuss on the measures to be taken up for further improvement based on the report of Academic and Administrative Audit. The Academic and Administrative Audit conducted for the calendar year 2015 by the external experts is presented and discussed thoroughly all the suggestions given by the experts for further improvements in curricular aspects, teaching-learning and Research. The detailed summary report of Academic and Administrative Audit conducted for the calendar year 2015 is given in Annexure – I (See page No. 2)

5.02 To review the various academic activities of the departments and institute since last meeting. The Dean Academic Affairs has presented a report on various academic activities taken up during the current academic year and the achievement of the students in co-curricular & extra- curricular activities, placements provided, industrial visits arranged, faculty development programs conducted, faculty publications, etc. The details are given in Annexure – II (See page No. 6) The members have congratulated the students for their extraordinary performance in sports and games events conducted by JNTUK, Kakinada. 5.03 To plan for conducting a workshop on “Curriculum Design based on Choice Based Credit System” It is resolved to conduct a workshop on “Curriculum Design based on Choice Based Credit System” by an eminent academician in the first week of April 2016, preferably by Dr. N. J. Rao, Former Professor of IISc, Bangalore. The Dean R&D and the Coordinator for curriculum design is entrusted with the organization of the workshop. 5.04 Any other matter with the permission of the chair. i. The Principal informed the members that the BSNL leased line internet connectivity bandwidth will be enhanced from 34 Mbps to 155 Mbps w.e.f. 1 st March 2016.

The Dean Academic Affairs has presented a report on various academic activities taken up during the current academic year from 25-02-2016 to 15-07-2016 and the achievement of the students in co-curricular & extra-curricular activities, placements provided, industrial visits arranged, faculty development programs conducted, faculty publications, etc. 6.02 To plan for providing extensive Assignment-cum-Tutorial questions as per Blooms Taxonomy in the form of Handouts along with learning material to I, II and III B.Tech students . It is resolved to prepare acceptable standard learning materials in each subject and make it available to the students through library server. 7.01 To review the various academic activities of the departments and institute since last meeting . The Dean Academic Affairs has presented a report on various academic activities since last IQAC meeting. The details are given in Annexure – I (See page No. 2) 7.02 To assess the impact of providing extensive Assignment-cum-Tutorial questions in enhancing the learnability of students . Dr. Y. Venkateswara Rao suggested to concentrate on poor performers by conducting remedial classes. Dr. S.R.K.Reddy and Dr. B. Karuna Kumar have explained the mode of preparation of learning materials and the use of the same in remedial classes. Ms. B. Jyothi Sri expressed her satisfaction on learning material for poor achievers. Mr. Lakshmi Hemanth Kopalle suggested to divide the students into three categories, like Meritorious, Average and below average and more emphasis may be given on average and below average students and also suggested to take steps to improve the communication skills of the students. Mr. T. Srinivasa Rao, ADE, APTRANSCO suggested to give awareness to the students on practical applications on some relevant topics and also advised to distribute learning material to slow learners only. Assignment-cum-Tutorial questions may prepared in three levels like i) easy, ii) tough and iii) very tough. 7.03 To plan for conducting Faculty Development Programs (FDP) department-wise during inter-semester break. Mr. Lakshmi Hemanth Kopalle suggested to conduct workshops on “Programming skills”, “Logical Analysis”, “Logical Thinking”, etc. for B.Tech students from second year onwards. The Dean Academic Affairs (Coordinator) has presented a report on performance of the students in internal and semester end examinations during the last two semesters of academic year 2016-17. It was observed that there is a drastic improvement in the pass percentage of UG B.Tech students and also semester grade point average and it is attributed to the Outcome Based Education that has been informed effectively during the last academic year. It is resolved to continue the same practice to setting Assignment-cum-Tutorial Questions in each unit of the syllabus of all subjects and make the students to work on those questions at home as well as in the tutorial classes. 9.03 Any other matter with the permission of the chair. The impact of conduct of special classes for supplementary students of 2014 and 2015 admitted batches of UG B.Tech students is reviewed. It is found that a few students has utilize the opportunity and made sincere efforts to pass the subjects in subsequent supplementary examinations by attending these classes.

12.01 To review the examination results for the class of 2018. The Dean Academic Affairs presented the examination results B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA for the academic year 2017-18. The members have expressed satisfaction about the overall results and advised the Principal to assess the abilities of the students during the semester course work and conduct more tutorials for poor performers in difficult subjects so as to improve the overall pass percentage further.

12.02 To discuss for conduct of Induction day program for 2018 admitted batch of students as per AICTE guidelines. The Principal discussed with the members of the committee for conduct of three week Induction program for 2018 admitted students as per the latest guidelines of AICTE. Dr. G. S. Bhaskara Rao, Professor & Head, Department of Basic Sciences is entrusted with responsibility of making the required arrangements for student’s induction into I B.Tech. The Vice–Principal is requested to make the arrangements for conducting induction day meeting in the examination-cum-Meeting hall at 11- 00 AM on 09-07-2018 and Lunch arrangements to all the students, parents and Teaching & Non- teaching staff members of the college. He is also requested to make the transport arrangements for onward and return journey of the students and parents. 12.03 To plan for conduct of 17 th Graduation Day celebrations. The Principal informed the members about the organization of 17 th Graduation day on 29 th July 2018 and also informed that the Hon’ble Speaker, A.P. Legislative Assembly Dr. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao will be the Chief Guest for the function. All the Heads of the Departments are requested to mail the invitation letter to all graduates of class of 2018 and requested them to attend the graduation day along with their parents and receive the provisional certificates from Hon’ble Speaker. It is planned to provide 270 hours of GATE coaching classes for III B.Tech students (2015-19 batch) during III (i), III(ii) and IV (i) by internal and external experts.  It is planned to provide 150 hours of GATE coaching classes for IV B.Tech students (2014-18 batch) during IV (i) and part of IV (ii) by internal and external experts.

13.04 To review the suggestions & comments received from the parents in the parents meet. The members reviewed the suggestions received from the parents in the parents meet conducted in the month of September 2019. 14.04 To review the training programs organized by the APSSDC. The Coordinator presented the training programs organized by the APSSDC through CM’s Excellence Center during the academic year 2018-19. The members have appreciated the efforts of conduct of training programs . 14.05 To discuss on certification courses like NPTEL, Course Era, etc. by the faculty and students. The members have appreciated the faculty and students, who have registered and getting certificates from NPTEL, Course Era, etc. and suggested to improve the more number of student registrations in online courses. 14.06 To review the evaluation of Learning Material and Assignment-cum-Tutorial Questions prepared by the faculty. The Coordinator presented the evaluation report of Learning Material and Assignment-cum- Tutorial questions prepared by the faculty of all engineering departments. Members have expressed their opinions on analysis of learning material and Assignment-cum-tutorial questions scale 2.00 and gradually to improve the scale factor to 2.50 and 2.75 on scale of 3.

14.07 To discuss feedback on Bloom’s Taxonomy. The Coordinator presented the evaluation report of feedback on Bloom’s Taxonomy. Members have expressed their opinions on analysis of Bloom’s Taxonomy scale 4.00 and gradually to improve to 4.50 and 4.75 on scale of 5. 14.08 To discuss on various Schemes for AICTE / DST / UGC / Etc. The Coordinator presented a report on schemes, the institution which have applied to AICTE / DST / UGC/ etc. 14.09 Establishment of Excellence Centers / Skill Centers. The members appreciated the efforts of administration getting and establishment of APSSDC- Dassault 3D Experience Centre, APSSDC-Venture Development Centre (VDC) and Applied Robot Control (ARC) Lab - APSSDC-ECM-Convergence Training Centers.
