Seasonal Clubhouse Manager – Greeneville Flyboys

June 1 – August 10, 2021 Full-time Hours (40+ hours per week)

Position Reports to: Club General Manager

*This is a paid position, with no tipping involved.

Background: The Clubhouse Manager will support the day-to-day equipment and clubhouse operations of Major League and USA Baseball’s brand-new summer collegiate baseball league with a focus on player development, the Appalachian League. The League will feature 10 teams with approximately 32 players per roster in a 54-game season beginning on Thursday, June 3rd and concluding with a single championship game on Monday, August 9th. The Appalachian League will put the athlete first, providing ample resources in access to data and technology, a competitive atmosphere, direct Club exposure, and elite-level coaching.

A seasonal Clubhouse Manager in the Appalachian League will support one of the 10 teams in providing clubhouse and equipment service for players, field staff, and umpires. The Seasonal Clubhouse Manager will work closely with the coaching staff, Club Front Office staff, and the Seasonal Baseball Operations Intern.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for inventorying and distributing the equipment including but not limited to pants, jerseys, belts, loops, socks, etc. • Facilitate laundry for home and visiting teams as well as umpires. Laundry will include uniforms, towels, and personal items. • Oversee and manage team equipment keeping an accurate inventory of bats and balls that are used throughout the season and completing a report at the end of the season. • Manage the cleanliness of the home, visiting and umpire clubhouse space. • Ensure that the entire clubhouse presentation is at a professional level at all times. • Responsible for stocking and maintenance of umpire room. • Complete shipments of team equipment to USA Baseball’s Fulfillment Center per USA Baseball representative instructions. • Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: • All candidates should be hard-working, flexible, and comfortable working long hours. • Strong interpersonal skills to work alongside front office staff, players, and on-field personnel. • Experience working with a collegiate or professional team is preferred. • Must be able to take initiative, be motivated, flexible and resourceful. • Detail orientated with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload. • Base level computer software skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
