You might be filling a large void in a slab, casting items to a specific shape, or casting blanks you can cut up for turning, knife handles or similar. It’s very important to understand what epoxy product is best for these tasks, and make sure you’re using it correctly. We’ll cover that, plus look at making and using molds, pressure and vacuum pots, and how to embed items in your castings. SHARPENING A dull tool is much more dangerous than a sharp tool, because you end up forcing it. We’ll look at sharpening bench chisels, plane irons and lathe chisels using stones, a Worksharp system, and a low rpm grinder. We’ll explore freehand techniques and jigs that help make sure your sharpening is consistent. Join Ben Brunick, Co-Host of the Woodworkers Podcast, to create your own wood veneer using the bandsaw and table jigs.
