SLOW FOOD (1O X 52 MINS) A charming and romantic “fish out of water” story set in the South of France.

The SLOW FOOD project is a romantic and delightful series for prime time television.

The story is a romantic and often humorous drama about a high powered American business woman who suddenly discovers that her biological father was French, and has recently died. In his Will, he leaves her a very popular bistro in a small village in the South of France.

Jackie Hanson, a single mother, and her 15 year old son, embark on an emotional and amusing journey that will change their lives forever. This is a ‘fish out of water’ story as they navigate French culture, food, music and people.

The pilot script and series outline has been written and developed by series creator Kevin Dole of Rendezvous Films.

ABOUT THE PRODUCERS

Anonymous Content has a fantastic reputation for quality film and television including; THE REVENANT, SPOTLIGHT, HBO’s TRUE DETECTIVE and MR. ROBOT. Pending formal attachment, Paul Green and Paula Munoz Vega will produce the series on behalf of Anonymous Content.

The series is based on the life of Johnny Carson, who for more than 30 years hosted The Tonight Show, the most popular and successful late night show in television history. Johnny Carson was the most important star of his time. His power was unlike anyone before or since. While he appeared to be cool, charismatic and charming, happiness and serenity always seemed to elude him. The series will focus more on the Carson his fans never got to see. Viewers get to look behind the curtain of both the Tonight Show and the man who was both a brilliant performer a comic genius and a man troubled in his tumultuous private life, including three ex-wives.

The pilot script and series outline has been written by esteemed writer and showrunner David Milch, whose credits include DEADWOOD, TRUE DETECTIVE, NYPD BLUE and HILL STREET BLUES. Salmira productions was founded to develop and finance artistic and commercial endeavors focusing on television, film and theatre. Salman Al-Rashid and Sims Frazier are designated as EPs. Henry Bushkin, Carson long time lawyer and author of the NY Times best seller CARSON will executive produce as part of the Salmira group.
