~ i ~ ABSTRACT May 19, 1975. More than one million people uneasily expected, only in the United States, the release of a record. On that day each one of them bought the new Elton John album. Beforehand I can say that it was not a current record, because it dealt about a musical opus that tried to tell the life story of its own creators. So, this research investigates in what degree the album Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy , released by singer/songwriter Elton John and by lyricist Bernie Taupin, produced some senses about the past of the due, because by the way they put images of themselves at the disposal of the public, they delineate one way of access to the things they lived together that suggest to incite the researcher for interpretation, for deviation and for the relative. Also discuss if the album would be a self writing , an autobiography or an autobiographical report , considering the construction of the historicity of their both lives, their relation with the musical-artistic context at the end of the 60’s until the middle of the next decade and the production of a sense of fame in this opportunity. Argues, just as well, how the cover of the album reinforces the “countercultural” ideas of the first compositions of the due, using images that awes the look and emanates to the spectator a sort of information that are hitched to the existence of John/Taupin from the “libertarian” enunciations of their first songs as a door for fame as a way of life . Presents and puts in question hence the possible relation between the due’s opus, the Glam/Glitter Rock musical gender, the star system and the culture of personality to say how was produced a sense of “being famous” in the 70’s, appraising the uses of star system, fame and stage as places of “postmodern performance”. Keywords: Elton John & Bernie Taupin; 70’s; Fame. Todos foram grandes Amigos : I hope the day will be a lighter highway (Eu tenho esprança de que o dia será uma rodovia iluminada) For friends are found on every road (Por amigos encontrados em cada estrada) Can you ever think of any better way (Você jamais pensaria em outro caminho melhor) For the lost and weary travellers to go (Para a longa e cansativa jornada que temos a frente) Making friends for the world to see (Fazendo amigos para o mundo ver) Let the people know you got what you need (Deixar as pessoas saberem que você tem o que precisa) With a friend at hand you will see the light (Com um amigo à mão você verá a luz) If your friends are there then everything's all right (Se seus amigos estiverem por lá então tudo ficará bem) It seems to me a crime that we should age (Parece-me que este é um crime que deveríamos levar conosco) These fragile times should never slip us by (Esta época frágil jamais deveria nos derrubar) A time you never can or shall erase (Um tempo que não podemos timidamente apagar) As friends together watch their ch ildhood fly (Como amigos que juntos assistem sua criancice escapar) Agradeço desde já a: Deus. A força e a coragem, o suporte e o alívio. A vida. Meus avós maternos (In Memoriam ).

Offering overblown fantasies of black power and heroism filmed on the sites of race rebellions of the late 1960s, blaxploitation films were objects of fierce debate among social leaders and commentators for the image of blackness they projected, in both its aesthetic character and its social and political utility. After some time spent as the "bad object" of African-American cinema history,[1] critical and theoretical interest in blaxploitation resurfaced in the 1990s, in part due to the way that its images-- and sounds--recirculated in contemporary film and music cultures. Since the early 1990s, a new generation of African-American filmmakers has focused

  • Founder & Chairman of Electro Scan Inc
CHUCK HANSEN Founder & Chairman of Electro Scan Inc. Chuck Hansen has a pretty cool life outside of trenchless technology. He has played his saxophone on stage with the likes of Tower of Power, Huey Lewis, Todd Rundgren, to name a few. His passion for rock n’ roll music runs deep — rooted in his childhood and in full bloom as an adult. He plays live music with rock stars, as well as owns a recording studio, where he records his own music (he’s recorded 24 CDs) in addition to other artists. Hansen is known in trenchless circles as the founder and chairman of Electro Scan Inc. (2011) and was founder of Hansen Information Technologies (1983), which developed asset management systems for water and sewer agencies. Electro Scan is an alternative to CCTV cameras to certify a trenchless lining and rehab projects as “leak-free.” He’s been playing music for more than 50 years, first learning the clarinet from his brother in the second grade then switching to the big baritone sax in the eighth grade. By high school, he was tabbed to play in the famous Monterey Jazz Festival’s All-Star Band competition, allowing him to take the stage with the likes of Dizzy Gilliespe, Louis Belson and Clark Terry. He went on to play in the U.C. Berkeley Jazz Band. Today, Hansen plays, in addition to the baritone sax, the bass sax and the contrabass sax. His “real world” job sometimes inhibits when he can play but he says he does each with as much passion and gusto as he can; each requires such enthusiasm and commitment to be successful, he says.

  • Brian Auger´S Oblivion Express Feat. Alex Ligertwood
Brian Auger´s Oblivion Express feat. Alex Ligertwood Alex Ligertwood (li.) und Brian Auger (re.) „Brian Auger (* 18. In dieser Besetzung hatte die Band mehrere Single-Hits (Road ToCairo, This Wheel's on Fire, Season Of The Witch) und brachte das viel beachtete Doppelalbum „Streetnoise“ (1969) heraus.
