  • Founder & Chairman of Electro Scan Inc
CHUCK HANSEN Founder & Chairman of Electro Scan Inc. Chuck Hansen has a pretty cool life outside of trenchless technology. He has played his saxophone on stage with the likes of Tower of Power, Huey Lewis, Todd Rundgren, to name a few. His passion for rock n’ roll music runs deep — rooted in his childhood and in full bloom as an adult. He plays live music with rock stars, as well as owns a recording studio, where he records his own music (he’s recorded 24 CDs) in addition to other artists. Hansen is known in trenchless circles as the founder and chairman of Electro Scan Inc. (2011) and was founder of Hansen Information Technologies (1983), which developed asset management systems for water and sewer agencies. Electro Scan is an alternative to CCTV cameras to certify a trenchless lining and rehab projects as “leak-free.” He’s been playing music for more than 50 years, first learning the clarinet from his brother in the second grade then switching to the big baritone sax in the eighth grade. By high school, he was tabbed to play in the famous Monterey Jazz Festival’s All-Star Band competition, allowing him to take the stage with the likes of Dizzy Gilliespe, Louis Belson and Clark Terry. He went on to play in the U.C. Berkeley Jazz Band. Today, Hansen plays, in addition to the baritone sax, the bass sax and the contrabass sax. His “real world” job sometimes inhibits when he can play but he says he does each with as much passion and gusto as he can; each requires such enthusiasm and commitment to be successful, he says.

Mike’s reason for this design is so that the stick has a slightly added front weight for a solid, consistent “throw” and transient sound. With the extra length, you can adjust how much front weight you’re implementing by slightly moving your fulcrum .580" point up or down on the stick. • Brian Auger´S Oblivion Express Feat. Alex Ligertwood
Brian Auger´s Oblivion Express feat. Alex Ligertwood Alex Ligertwood (li.) und Brian Auger (re.) „Brian Auger (* 18. In dieser Besetzung hatte die Band mehrere Single-Hits (Road ToCairo, This Wheel's on Fire, Season Of The Witch) und brachte das viel beachtete Doppelalbum „Streetnoise“ (1969) heraus.

Sound Colour Vibration Carlos Santana & John McLaughlin’s 1973 Masterpiece Love Devotion Surrender Reissued As Gatefold LP With Speakers Corner | Music Reissues Posted by Sound Colour Vibration on May 5, 2015 · Leave a Comment Carlos Santana & John McLaughlin’s 1973 Masterpiece Love Devotion Surrender Reissued As Gatefold LP With Speakers Corner | Music Reissues by Erik Otis When I first read the John McLaughlin biography Go Ahead John, author Paul Stump gave the 1973 LP Love Devotion Surrender a fairly bad review and it was shortly after this lasting impression that I was exposed to the collaborative record between guitar icons Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin. Many reviews upon its release were in a more negative slant then positive and it was a shock after initially hearing it, considering how soulful, spiritual and sophisticated the music is and how much I fell in love with the album right away. In a world full of expectations and concrete view points, I can see how this album would fly over some heads during the day, taking on a much different route then pop structures spoke for of the era and even going beyond the fusion voyages of many musicians around them. An enactment of the full spiritual awakening both musicians were finding through guru Sri Chinmoy, these teachings brought them together in a unique way and they executed on stunning levels with a cast that included Larry Young (org), Doug Rauch (b), Armando Peraza (cga), Billy Cobham, Don Alias, Jan Hammer and Mike Shrieve. The incorporation of John Coltrane covers and themes inspired form his works is a staple of the record’s identity, produced and released for those who were tapping into energy far outside of the radio waves of the day.
