May Shubh Laabh and Shubh Yatra go together. Bon Voyage! 3 FOREWORD I am a firm believer in the social utility of enjoyable politico-economic journalism. Economists like Frederic Bastiat and Henry Hazlitt have set alight the minds of millions with the fire of freedom, not by writing dissertations, but by reaching out to lay people through jouernalism. These include dentists, engineers, architects and various other professionals who really need to know political economy in order to vote correctly, but have never had the opportunity to study it formally; or rather, in school, they have been MISTAUGHT! They are thus easily led astray by economic sophisms that justify protectionism and other damaging forms of state interference in economic life. It is for such people that I have penned this volume and I offer it to the general reading public so that they may not only enjoy the read but also appreciate the importance of Freedom: Freedom From The State. In this I have attempted to be extremely simple in my arguments – there are no ‘theories’ presented. Antaragni’17 26th – 29th Oct. ‘17 Pre-Conduction Report Antaragni is well known for the cultural vibrance it spreads across the nation. Antaragni’17 is scheduled from 26th to 29th October and the theme of this year is “Suits of Euphoria”. With this theme, Antaragni’17 tries to incorporate the differents suits of Feeling involved in it’s 52 competitions in its 52nd edition across 4 days representing the 4 pro-nights of Antaragni ‘17. Roadtrip Roadtrip, the nationwide cultural expedition by Antaragni was/will be organized in the following cities: City Dates Delhi 07/10 Lucknow 09/10 Agra 05/11 Chandigarh 21/08 Kathmandu 09/07 Bhopal 03/09 Hyderabad 13/08 Jaipur 28/08 Pune 26/08 Bengaluru 11/06 Mumbai 02/07 Shillong 23/07 Prelims of various competitions including DJwars, Synchronicity, Jitterbug (group dance), Antaragni Idol (solo singing), fine arts, quiz competitions, etc were conducted under roadtrip. Apart from this, Prodigy, the cultural talent hunt for school students, which started 2 years back was continued and successfully conducted in Lucknow, Kanpur; Agra chapter will be conduted on 5th november. Prodigy saw a similar level participation as last year. The roadtrips were well covered by local media. Pro-nites Pronites are the eagerly anticipated part of any festival. They not only ensure enjoyment for the crowd but also mark the status of the festival among sponsors, media, artists and other college festivals.
