The practice intention is to provide NHS Services to patients currently registered with the practice who live in Bestwood Village, but would like to cease future registrations of patients who move into Bestwood Village, with the exception of babies born, fostered and adopted children who become resident in the household to patients currently registered with the practice. This would mean overtime a natural reduction of patients registered with the practice who resided in the area of Bestwood Village. Reasons • Geography • Increasingly untenable list size • Inability to expand due to restricted premises 1 Current Practice Boundary Oakenhall Medical Practice is located in Hucknall, serving a growing population. This is due to National/Government planning for housing. Oakenhall Medical Practice current boundary includes Hucknall, Linby, Papplewick and Bestwood Village. 2 3 Information on Hucknall, the Surrounding Areas and its Population Hucknall is located 7 miles north west of Nottingham in the district of Ashfield with a population of 32000 (2011 census). This population is increasing. In relation to Hucknall, Bestwood Village lies to the furthest most point of the Practice Boundary and is only accessible by vehicle via one main road through the Village (there are no connecting roads accessible to a driver/vehicle.

The representations made here build upon earlier representations made to the Gedling Borough Aligned Core Strategy (ACS) on behalf of the Friends of Moor Pond Woods (“the Friends”). They are made specifically in respect of the policies and proposals relating to Gedling Borough. 2. Reference in this section is made to English Heritage (2006),” Environmental quality and spatial planning ” [EQSP] (which is best-practice advice issued jointly by English Heritage, Natural England and The Environment Agency). This does not seem to be in the examination library. 3. In the absence or paucity of information in ACS about heritage landscapes in general, and in particular in the section relating to ‘Land North of Papplewick Lane’ [LNPL], “The Friends” have commissioned a report which has been presented as appendix 1 with our response to the site specific issues. Response to question 6 4. Section 2.2.26 of the ACS refers specifically to the risk of flooding from fluvial sources, and draws attention to the situation in the Trent Valley and at Lambley. In the area around Linby and Papplewick, the risk of pluvial and groundwater flooding are also a significant threat.

  • Approval of Primary Care Networks in Nottingham North and East
Approval of Primary Care Networks in Nottingham North and East 1. Purpose The purpose of this report is to provide the Committee with an overview of how the proposed Primary Care Networks intend to address the concerns that have been raised about how they will meet the approval requirements, in order for the Committee to consider the applications presented to it. Four applications for Nottingham North and East have been submitted. A summary of applications is included in Appendix A, the Network Contract DES registration forms are provided in Appendix B and a map showing the proposed PCNs is provided at Appendix C for reference. 2. Introduction The proposed PCN configuration for Nottingham North and East was discussed by clinical and lay members of the Primary Care Commissioning Committee on the 23rd May. Two key concerns were identified for further consideration: the ability of other service providers to align themselves with PCN 3 and PCN 4 given the overlaps between their practice populations; the ability of PCN 3 to offer services in a way that makes geographical sense to their patients, in particular the patients registered with Daybrook Medical Practice. The locality team facilitated a meeting of the practices in PCN 2, 3 and 4 on 29th May; 11 out of the 12 practices were represented. The only practice not represented had provided comments via the LMC and the relevant PCN Clinical Director. As well as the LMC, NHS England and Local Partnerships were also represented at the meeting. 3. Alignment of Other Service Providers As the main provider of community services to the PCNs in Nottingham North and East, Local Partnerships have considered the current resources available within the locality and how they could be wrapped around the proposed PCNs.
