Päivän metaforakuvaksi valikoitui tänne asemalta kävellessä pongattu seinä. Tietotyöläiset - ison transformaation mahdollistavan liikkeellepanovoiman haltijat - istuvat nykyisin lasi/teräs /betonikolosseissa. Otan tähän päivään sen näkökulman, että miten ohjausohjelmistoinnovaatioilla autetaan nykyisin näissä kolosseissa istuvia tulemaan sieltä ulos - sinne missä ihmiset elävät ja ideat emergoituvat ja kaikki merkitsevä oikeasti tapahtuu.

Nykyinen ymmärätämisemme vaikeus johtuu siitä, että meidät on sosiaalistettu ajattelemaan, että kaikki perustuu :
1) Aristoteles - neljä syytä => Isaac Newton erotti niistä yhden ja perusti siihen kaiken - suljetussa systeemissä => sulkee ihmisten tahtotilan ulkopuolelle; Newton ei koskaan tarkoittanut, että tämä suljettu ratkaisu otettaisiin koko mm. liiketoiminnan ja tieteen kehittämisen toimintaympäristöksi 2) Kaikelle on suoraviivainen selitys ja ratkaisu; ennalta sovitun tyyppisen tiedon käsite - kaikki etenee vain ylhäälta alas (ja alhaalta ylös) 3) Kantilainen käsitys siitä, että kaiken perustaminen tietoon on ratkaisu kaikkeen
Aaltosen mukaan innovaatioiden perustaminen 1-3 -prosessiin on inhimisillen tiedon prostituutiota. Poisopetteleminen siitä on tällä hetkellä yritysjohdon tärkein [omana kommenttina lisään, että ainoa ] tehtävä.

OECD:llä on tällä hetkellä yksi sana, johon kaikki kehittämistyö perustuu: PRODUCTIVITY. Jos korvaamme tämän sanan vaikkapa sanalla onnellisuus, niin kaiken muuuttumisen onnistuminen perustuu seuraavaan:
Jatkuvasti valitsemme uudestaan ja uudestaan ajattelumme keskeiset kohteet ja sisällöt. Se on ainoa tapa, jolla pystymme ohjaamaan käyttäytymistämme ja toimintaamme sekä sen lyhyen ja pitemmän tähtäimen seurauksia ja tuloksia. Se miltä maailma näyttää nyt, on näiden jatkuvien ajatusvalintojen tulos.
Kukaan ei pysty välttämään näitä koko ajan aivoissamme ja ajatuksissamme pyöriviä pienten valintojen tilanteita. Ohjaamme itseämme ja toisiamme, halusimme tai tiedostimme sitä tai emme.
Jos alamme haluta vaikuttaa itse niihin valintoihimme, joita jo ihan koko ajan kuitenkin teemme, niin pystymme muuttamaan minkä tahansa elämän alueen käyttäytymistämme. Tämä ei onnistu tekemällä lisää nykyisen kaltaista tieteellistä tutkimusta, istumalla liiketoiminnan kehittämisen seminaareissa tai ylipäätään jatkamalla mitään nykyajattelumme mukaan kiireisen, tehokkaan ja ahkeran näköistä päivittäistä toimintaa.
Ainoa selviytymiskeino on lähteä ottamaan vastaan joka päivä vähän aiempaan totutusta poikkeavia ajatuksia.

@ConnectIrmeli Seuraan rapoasi Kajaanissa. Jänniä näkökulmia. Keli on täällä autoilijan näkökulmasta vähintäänkin kompleksinen. Neljä vuodenaikaa on opettanut suomalaiset innovoimaan ja ennakoimaan. Henki lähtisi, jos ei olisi tehty tupaa, saunaa, villavaatteita, sarkahousuja ja karvareuhkoja. Moderni aika peittää alleen perusasioita.

suomen metsäteollisuuden innovaatiokyky meni sen siliän tien, kun pääkonttorit sijoitettiin pääkaupunkiin, jossa propseja ja tukkeja ei kasva. Mehtien miehet irtautuivat todellisuudesta ja ryhtyivät johtamaan paperin tekoa ja sahaamista kuin pankkia.

@visualradio Mulla on yksi metsäalan idea, sillä näitä paperintekoasioita kyselin. Miten biomassa voitaisiin käyttää sekä ekologisemmin, tehokkaammin ja monipuolisemmin. Valitettavasti minun tapani on kallis, mutta minä fundeeraan vielä.

Englannissa Royal Society on käynnistänyt kouluille "Open Mind" -hankeen. Sen sisällön voi kiteyttää näin: Aaltonen kysyi hiljattain tanskalaiselta kolleegaltaan, että miksi teidän koulut eivät pärjää pisassa yhtä hyvin kuin meidän. Kolleega vastasi, että emme me halua, että meidän lapsemme pärjäävät pisan kriteereillä elettävässä elämässä. Me haluamme, että he ymmärtävät, mitä innovatiivisuus ja luovuus merkitsee käytännössä ja haluavat sitten käyttää oppimaansa niiden yhteisöjen hyväksi, joissa he elävät. Aaltosen esityksen tärkein viesti: Lineaarinen ja disruptiivinen ajattelu tarvitsevat molemmat elintärkeästi toisiaan. Ei siis ole kyse siitä, että nyt mennään jonnekin tulevaisuuteen, joka on irti siitä työ- ja muusta arkielämästä, jota elämme. Emme voi lähteä liikkeelle jostain, missä emme ole.

Reflektion käytännön harjoittelutehtävä: Miltä nämä elämän osa-alueet näyttävät omassa toimintaympäristössäsi nyt? Mihin menet niillä ajatuksilla, jotka valitset tänään? Miten kukin osa-alue muuttuisi, jos valitsisit, että otat eiliseen nähden erilaisen ajatuksen vastaan? Mitä, jos joku muukin valitsee eri tavalla? Montako valintaa tarvitaan, että se alkaa näkyä omassa lähiympäristössä? Miten? Kuka auttaa? Ketä autat?

" -Edellisen esityksen keskustelussa tuli puheeksi, että 65 -vuoden eläkeikä perustuu Otto von Bismarckin esitykseen "saada loppuelämä vapaaksi". Loppuelämä 65 -vuotissyntymäpäivän jälkeen oli tuolloin kovin lyhyt ja oli erittäin suuri merkitys sillä, että sen sai vapaaksi... Ja nyt sitten aina vaan perustetaan koko liike-elämä tähän Bismarckin yksittäiseen tekoon ja sitten vielä perustetaan koko elämä siihen liike-elämässä pyörimisen "ON" ja sitten "65 -vuotiaana OFF" -ajatteluun...

@Herra Metsäala tarvitsee tulevaisuudessa erityisesti "kalliita tuotteita". Suomalainen piktäkuituinen puu kasvaa pitkään ja siksi sitä pitäisi hyödyntää erityisominaisuuksia arvottaen. Biojalostamoista voidaan irrottaa uusia juttuja, mutta siinäkin tukeudutaan vielä sadan vuoden ikäisiin teknisiin ratkaisuihin.

Onnistumisen DELTA -malli:

Myös tässä esityksessä korostetaan, että: tullaan pois siiloista ja tehdään prosessit läpinäkyviksi dialektisuus - jos esimerkiksi jokin aloiteprojekti on tyssännyt siihen, että kohderyhmältä saadaan vain claimejä... niin se on ymmärrettävä ainoaksi muutosenergian lähteeksi, joka siinä tilanteessa tosiasiassa on käytettävissä edellä monessa yhteydessä mainttu PRODUCTIVITY on jäävuoren huippu, ei itse prosessi

Tällä hetkellä Knowledge Management lähtee siitä, että tutkitaan, analysoidaan ja kehitetään sitä, miten johto johtaa. "Muut kuin johto" tekee käytännön tietotyöstä kuitenkin 100%...?!

Tietojohtamisen sijainti täytyy siirtää sinne, missä 100% siitä tehdään... eli edellä muutamalta kantilta sivuttuun prosessiin, joka tapatuu ihmisten pään sisällä.

Strategiatarina on kannatettava idea. Kansakunnilla on "Maamme laulu" ja joillain yrityksilläkin oma corporaatio-laulunsa. Usein ja pahimmoilleen "strategia" ja "toimintasuunnitelma" (Biz plan) on mapillinen paperia, jossain suljetussa kaapissa (kassakaappi, arkisto tms.) - ja kukaan ei muista siitä riviäkään.

kaikki rauta ja softa on apuvälineitä; johdon ei tule kuvitella, että raudalla ja softalla johdetaan analytiikka nähdään tällä hetkellä johdon strategiseksi työvälineeksi => sen todellinen tarve ja hyödynnettävyys sijaitsee operatiivisella ja taktisella tasolla Päivän kolmas refelektiotehtävä: How is my process actually running? Where do I have to intervene now?
[Huomio]: Tässä esitetään vielä P-D-C-A -mallia ratkaisuksi. Olen viime päivinä twiittaillut ahkerasti 'ba' -konseptiin liittyviä linkkejä. Pelkkä P-D-C-A -ajattelu ei riitä avoimessa ja verkostoituneessa toimintaympäristössä. Tarvitaan 'ba':n kaltaista osaamista. Liitän tähän qaikuun 'ba' -linkkejä näiden esitysten jälkeen.

@visualradio Kaiken eri sykleissä sosiokulttuurisesta osaamisesta ja tarinankerronnasta opitun viime aikojen tiivistymien sekä nyt vielä tämän päivän bisnesnäkökulman entisestäänkin rohkaisemana - olen sitä mieltä, että se ugrilaisuus on se juttu, jolla meidän strategiatarinaa tehdään. Tehdään jo - halutaan sitä sitten nähdä tai ei. Mitään ei voi alkaa rakentaa kuin sen päälle, mitä meillä tosiasiassa on. Meillä se on erittäin rikas ugrilainen tarinankerronnan perinne. Sillä uidaan sisään ihan mihin vaan halutaan, kun on nyt vähän erilaiset välineet hyödynnettävissä kuin luolamaalausten aikana. Taito hyödyntää perinnettä hukkautui trendikkään PRODUCTIVITYN alle - minusta itse asiassa vain muutamaksi vuosikymmeneksi, mutta riittävän pitkäksi aikaa, että me nyt työelämässä puhumme nykytaidoista, -tavoista ja taidottumuuksista siihen sävyyn, että aina on tehty...
Tässä tauolla ennen iltapäivän kahta keynotea kuulin äsken keskustelua siitä, että "näin nelikymppisenä on kuullut jo kaiken täällä esitetyn moneen kertaan". Väitän, että eipä oman strategiassaolotarinan sekä omassa työssä tarvittavien viisausanalyytikkotaitojen näkökulmasta ole kuullut kukaan meistä. Ja se juttu jatkossa ei ole olla kuulemassa seminaareissa, vaan kertoa tarinaansa itse. #innovaatiojuna n tarkoitus tulikin tässä kirjailtua yhdessä muodossa juuri :)
Mika Aaltosen aamuiseen tulevaisuuskeynoteen liittyen jaettiin hänen kirjansa: ROBUSTNESS anticipatory and adaptive human systems - siitä kuvakaappaus yllä (s. 39). @ConnectIrmeli #innovaatiojuna ja #mikroduuni juttujen vahvuus on ainutlaatuisuudessa ja ainutkertaisuudessa. Ne eivät ole "by the book", mutta silti sovellettiin paljon ennen opittua. Ehkä niistä löytyy sitä ugrilaista persupoljentoa, jolla muutoksia tehdään. Muutokset ovat hitaita. Vain kaupan kassajonossa skidi voi vaati karkkipussin heti tässä ja nyt.

Muistin tämän seminaarin, jossa koko pitkä päivä puhuttiin poisoppimisesta. Pääkeynotessa Mika Aaltonen neuvoi, että yritys- ja opetus/oppimismaailma pääsee poisoppimisen vauhtiin, kun suostuu lopettamaan jämähtämisen Aristoteleeseen, Newtoniin ja Kantiin...
Muistin sen siis lukiessani uutisia Kreetalla tehdyistä arkeologisista löydöistä. Kun on tähän astisen tiedon mukaan uskottu, että merenkulun taito on toistakymmentä tuhatta vuotta vanhaa (Kreikassa, maailmanlaajuisten löytöjen perusteella n. 60 000 v.), niin uudet löydöt ovat ainakin 130 000 vuotta vanhoja. Aikahaarukka ulottuu jopa 700 000 vuoden päähän. Kreetalle tulijat ovat osanneet sekä purjehtia, että tehdä työkaluja ja käyttää niitä. Ja opettaa näitä taitoja.
Monella avoimella verkkokurssilla / -seminaarissa viime vuonna sanottiin, että globaalisti aletaan poisoppia sitä opetusmuotoa, joka muodostui kristillisen luostarilaitoksen yhteyteen n. 800 vuotta sitten Etelä- ja Keski-Euroopassa - yksi paasaa ja muut kuuntelee tuoleilla istuen.
Niin... mitä, jos harppaamme paljon taakse päin opettamisen ja oppimisen hahmottamisessa. Kun merenkulkija yli sata tuhatta vuotta sitten tarvitsi pelotonta ja innovatiivista miehistöä - keräsikö hän ihmisiä istumaan jonoihin ja riveihin...?!

Innostuin tässä seminaarissa siitä, että on huomattu, että mittareiden kehittäminen ei riitä, jos ei samalla oteta huomioon, mitä mittareita käyttävien (ja niitä miitaustuloksia käyttäytymisellään muuttavien) ihmisten aivoissa ja mielessä ja ajattelussa tapahtuu.
Yhdistän @outiV n 12.4.11 rapoamassa Tivit -seminaarissa mainitun "Social CRM for Custormer Servicen" merkityksen voimistumisen liittyväksi samaan trendiin.

Nokiassa käynnistyi valtaisa pois-oppimisen eFlop ekosysteemi-strategian- transformaatiovaihe viime viikolla. Visusti vaikeneva vesipää (top-heavy) on tuottanut enemmän Lex Nokia -julkisuutta muutamassa päivässä kuin mitä Suomen talouselämä itsenäisyyden alkuajoista alkaen. Yhtäkkinen avoimuus herättää sijoittajissa kauhua (kurssi alas -20 %) ja asiakkaat ryntäävät toisten valmistajien syliin turvaan. Nokialla oli vielä viime vuonna olevinaan pätevä strategia, yritystä syytettiin toimeenpanon puutteesta. No nyt pannaan toimeksi, mutta tuloksena on vain uusi STRATEGIA ja höpöpuhetta EKOSYSTEEMEISTÄ (ilmastonmuutosmetafora), mutta ei hajuakaan uusista tuotteista. The reception was decorated with the casual ease of a garden with three different varieties of fresh garden flowers in each centerpiece. The tablescape was complimented with custom table numbers to match the escort cards, and a single stem of spray roses was tucked into each napkin.
