Introduction Many people choose to arrange a memorial to provide a special place for family and friends to visit and spend time remembering. At Spencer & Peyton we have our own monumental masonry team, workshops and showroom. Our stone masons are fully qualified, NAMM (National Association of Memorial Masons) and BRAMM (British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons) registered and have many years of experience working in the Basingstoke and surrounding areas. Our staff will help guide you through the process of choosing or designing a lasting memorial for your loved one and this brochure shows a range of the many styles and finishes available.

We offer all colours and sizes. Every Churchyard and cemetery has different rules and regulations regarding the size and colour of plaques that they will allow. Our plaques can be ordered to suit these requirements. Please talk to our stone masons for help with this.

7 Designing a Memorial
Shape Choose the general shape of the stone using our guide on page 9.
Colour Select the stone colour from our guide on page 10 but talk to our stone masons as some granites are not accepted in churchyards.
Ornamentation To add extra ornamentation or a photo plaque, see page 11.
Colour Chippings (If Kerb Set) See our colour guide on page 12.
Wording Our stone masons will gladly help you with the wording and we also have some example verses on page 13.
Once these decisions have been made, our stone masons will be able to provide you with a quote and drawing and move forward with applying for permission from the church or cemetery. However if you need further help in making any of these decisions our team will gladly advise you.

Grave Tending At Spencer and Peyton we have many years of experience in both grave maintenance and tending. Services can include cleaning, removing all dead foliage, pruning shrubs, cutting grass edges, placing seasonal flowers in existing vase, adding soil or turfing, stone cleaning, adding or cleaning chippings and supplying a before and after photo.
