Clarinet Listening List

Meadow View Listening List

Listening to great musicians is an essential part of learning how to be a great musician. In the Meadow View Band, you will have the opportunity to listen to some professionals on your instrument throughout the year. It is the hope this will inspire you to be a better musician yourself and will allow you to discover other great musicians who you enjoy listening to. You can listen to these musicians any way you choose. Many students will simply listen to recordings of a particular musician using YouTube, but you might consider other services such as Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Prime Music if they are available. Of course, many professional musicians have music for sale on CD or digitally. Some of the suggested performers on the list below may be difficult to find a recording of, but there are plenty of options. If you are not sure which one to listen to, just pick one! Please be sure to listen to an artist from the list on the back. When listening to ensembles that have in them, you may find quite a few excellent ensembles that are not on the suggested list. Feel free to listen to groups that are not listed. Listening Assignments
