Approbation of the TLIG Writings in 7 Stages The following events in 7 stages demonstrate the striking parallels in the lives of those authors whose writings the Church approved. That the TLIG prophetic revelations have obtained official ecclesiastical approval, while enduring the same trials as other Church-approved authors, is a sure sign of their authenticity. Below in an overview of said parallels: 1) 1ST PARALLEL OF EVENTS: DIFFUSION OF THE WRITINGS 2) 2ND PARALLEL OF EVENTS: 1ST TRIAL Church A) Suppresses the writings, or B) Issues a warning on the writings without a condemnation 3) 3rd PARALLEL OF EVENTS: 1ST TRIAL Reasons for the Church’s Suppression or Warning 4) 4th PARALLEL OF EVENTS: 1ST TRIAL Church Opens an Informative Process 5) 5th PARALLEL OF EVENTS: CHURCH GRANTS OFFICIAL APPROVAL Church A) Modifies its Decree or Notification, or B) Reverses its Judgment 6) 6th PARALLEL OF EVENTS: 2nd TRIAL 7) 7TH PARALLEL OF EVENTS: THE WRITINGS RECEIVE ONGOING SUPPORT FROM THE CHURCH AUTHORITIES 1ST PARALLEL OF EVENTS: DIFFUSION OF THE WRITINGS Bl. • Vassula Ryden
NOVEMBER 25/DECEMBER 8/12, 2012 Vassula Ryden: Problems with Rome, Bishops worldwide and her own Orthodox Church, but welcome in India Vassula Ryden is a controversial Greek-Orthodox "seer" who claims to receive written messages from God. The intention of this alert is to provide reliable information to the Bishops, heads of retreat centers, lay leaders in ministry, and the Catholic laity at large in the Indian Church about the status of acceptance by the Catholic and Orthodox Churches of the Greek Orthodox "seer" named Vassula Ryden and her "messages". This alert will gradually be developed into a more-detailed report* which can be viewed under the same title at the "REPORTS" section of this ministry’s web site. Interested readers are requested to check our web site periodically for updates and new articles. *This report was updated on December 8, 2012. See pages 27 ff. Also see VASSULA RYDEN-TESTIMONIES at http://ephesians-511.net/docs/VASSULA_RYDEN_TESTIMONIES.doc. That file in the "CATHOLIC ISSUES" section of our web site contains four testimonies reproduced from www.infovassula.ch, a critical website on Vassula Ryden and her "True Life in God" messages. The www.infovassula.ch website which was run by a Switzerland-based Catholic apologist Maria Laura Pio had to be shut down because of legal proceedings initiated against her in a civil court in Belgium in 2011 by the "True Life in God" [TLIG]"seer" Vassula Ryden and her team of legal experts. More of that later. The writing and publishing of this alert is immediately necessitated by the receipt of information concerning the imminent visit of Vassula Ryden to various Catholic locations in India* on the back of a trip by her to Paris and Strasbourg in France which however has elicited strong warnings from six French bishops**.

  • Dialogue Between Vassula Rydén and the CDF
Dialogue between Vassula Rydén and the CDF Introduction Between 2001 and 2004, Mrs. Vassula Rydén had an official dialogue with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) in the Vatican that was requested by the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI. The purpose of this report is not to provide cheap propaganda for Mrs. Rydén, but rather to offer some balanced and detailed insight into the progression and outcome of this dialogue. It must be understood that the dialogue in itself entails no official "approval" of the messages experienced by Mrs. Rydén entitled True Life in God. The Notification of 1995 with some critical comments on Mrs. Rydén’s experience remains formally in effect. Only the publication of a new Notification could "cancel" the former of 1995, and such publication will most likely not occur during Mrs. Rydén’s lifetime, given the Vatican’s always careful stance on alleged mystics still alive. However, there should be no doubt that the dialogue did take place and that it reached a positive conclusion. The entire dialogue between Mrs. Rydén and the CDF was published in the form of a booklet in 2004 and - at the specific request of Cardinal Ratzinger - in all subsequent versions of Mrs. Rydén’s books. As it will become clear in this report, Cardinal Ratzinger had first declined when asked in 1999 to meet Mrs. Rydén because of "the situation with the Notification", as he put it. However, what he did offer was an official dialogue with the CDF. It was this dialogue and its positive outcome that made it possible for Cardinal Ratzinger to receive Mrs.

Three centuries later, King Josiah of Judah asked the Levites to return that container to the Temple, implying that it was no longer there. The gold-plated Ark enclosed more than an unvarying law in the Decalogue and the „obedience‟ of classical-computing attached to the crystal Thummim sewed by Moses into the Ephod worn by Aaron, the first high priest. Moses also placed in his brother‟s vest the crystal Urim, or flexible variations „between obedience and disobedience‟, in the quantum-computing epitomized by the „tree-of-the-knowledge-of-good-and-evil‟ (Genesis 2). Together, the Thummim and Urim crystals embody the Wisdom ascribed to nature‟s Nature and the „Tree-of-Life‟. Solomon shared this Wisdom with the visiting Queen of Sheba.

  • Antonio Rosmini on Property It Showed Itself As a Part of God’S Calling
Journal of Markets & Morality Volume 7, Number 1 (Spring 2004): 63–97 Copyright © 2004 A Sphere Around Alberto Mingardi Policy Director the Person: Istituto Bruno Leoni (Turin, Italy) Antonio Rosmini and Visiting Fellow Centre for the New Europe on Property* (Brussels, Belgium) Father Antonio Rosmini-Serbati (1797–1855) is an author of growing interest and curiosity to his fellow churchmen, as well as to secular intellectuals, as a philosopher who successfully reconciled reason and faith. Nevertheless, the political nuances of his thought have barely been explored by English-speaking scholars, and even among his Italian followers these have not been fully appre- ciated. This article attempts to present an overview of Rosmini’s political philoso- phy, focusing on his concern for the protection of private property rights and arguing that it is precisely his advocacy of private property that determines his attitude toward the general organization of associated life, government, and democracy. The organization of this investigation consists of four parts. The first pro- vides a brief biographical sketch of Antonio Rosmini. The second tentatively enlists the main influences in the development of Rosmini’s thought as far as politics and economics are concerned. The third is devoted to examining his approach toward property. The fourth examines his definition of social justice in the light of his justification of property. Introduction In this article, I introduce the reader to the figure of Antonio Rosmini, provide a biographical sketch, and subsequently approach his thought on private prop- erty. As a priest and a devout Catholic, religious faith was central to every aspect of Rosmini’s philosophy.

  • Lecture Notes
“Modern, Anti- and Post- Modern Augustines” for “In Dialogue with Augustine” Villanova University July 23-27, 2001. An intensive seminar (three hours, Monday through Friday). Fifteen Hours Taking Descartes’ use and reworking of Augustine as defining his modern reception, the course will examine this modern Augustine, its developments, the alternatives to it and reactions against it. Topics and figures considered will include Early Modern Augustinian predecessors of Descartes like Jean Calvin, Richard Hooker and the Cardinal de Bérulle; fellows in the Cartesian project to employ an Augustinian logic for a revolution in the Christian relation to the cosmos like Galileo; the continuation of Augustinian scholasticism; the modern Augustinian reactions against modern secularity like those of Pascal, his Jansenist friends, and Kierkegaard; continuations of Augustinian Christian Platonism in the Cambridge Platonists, Ontologism, German Idealism, and in the retrieval of the Fathers of the Church. Other Twentieth-century interpretations will include the reassertion of a modern Augustinianism with Phenomenology, Charles Taylor and Stephen Menn and its opposite in the Protestant Orthodoxy of Karl Barth and his postmodern heirs, Jean-Luc Marion and Radical Orthodoxy. Finally, connections of these with the Jewish Augustine of Jacques Derrida and the revival of theurgic Neoplatonism will be considered. The aim will be to demonstrate the mutual dependence of the modern and anti-modern, the philosophical and religious forms of our following of Augustine. A Note on the Reading List It is not intended that every item on the list be required for each participant, although it will be clear that some of the readings are necessary for everyone.

  • International Marian Association Letter to Cardinal Mueller
International Marian Association Letter to Cardinal Mueller 31 May 2017 Eminence, Gerhard Cardinal Müller Prefect, Congregation for the Doctrine on Faith Piazza del S. Uffizio, 11 00193 Roma, Italy Your Eminence: We, Executive Members of the International Marian Association, which consti- tutes over 100 theologians, cardinals, bishops, clergy, religious and lay leaders from 5 continents, wish to, first of all, thank you for the many excellent and courageous articulations and defenses of our holy Catholic Faith, as contained in your recently released, The Cardinal Müller Report. At the same time, we are obliged to express to you our grave concern regarding your comment from the text when you state: “(for example, the Church … does not call her [Mary] “co-redeemer,” because the only Redeemer is Christ, and she herself has been redeemed sublimiore modo, as Lumen Gentium [n. 53] says, and serves this redemption wrought exclusively by Christ… (p. 133). You unfortunately refer to this term as an example of false exaggeration: “falsely exaggerating per excessum, attributing to the Virgin what is not attributable to her” (Ibid.). Your Eminence, in making this statement, albeit as a private theologian since a public interview carries no authoritative or magisterial status, you have publicly stated: 1) a theologically and historically erroneous position, since the Church undeni- ably has and does call Mary a co-redeemer; and 2) a position which, in itself, materially dissents from the repeated and authoritative teachings of the Papal Magisterium, the historical teachings from your own Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith (Holy Office)and other Vatican Congregations; the pre- and post-conciliar teachings of the Magisterium as expressed through numerous cardinals, bishops and national episcopal conferences; teachings of the broader Church, inclusive of multiple can- onized saints and blessed who all do, in fact, assent to and theologically expand upon the authentic Magisterial teachings of the Church concerning Mary as a co- redeemer.

  • Mga Milagro Ng Birheng Maria (Miracles of the Virgin Mary): Symbolism and Expression of Marian Devotion in the Philippines
Mga Milagro ng Birheng Maria (Miracles of the Virgin Mary): Symbolism and Expression of Marian devotion in the Philippines Mark Iñigo M. Tallara, Ph.D. Candidate National University of Singapore SUMMARY This paper is about Catholicism in the Philippines, highlighting the events, and objects on the popular devotion to the Birheng Maria (Virgin Mary), that could give fresh look onto the process of formulating an alternative discourse on religious piety and identity formation. This study also calls for more scholarly attention on the historical and religious connection between Spain, Mexico, and the Philippines, focusing on the legacies of the Manila Galleon that through them we can better appreciate the Latin American dimension of Filipino Catholicism. In addition to the goods, the Manila Galleon facilitated the first transpacific people to people exchange and their ideas, customs, and most importantly the aspects of religious life. This study will examine the symbolism and expression of Filipinos’ devotion to the miraculous image of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje (Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage) or popularly known as the Black Virgin Mary of Antipolo1. What are the motivations of the devotees to the Black Virgin? How has the popular devotion to the Virgin Mary changed overtime? Observing a particular group of devotees and their practices could provide materials for the study of pilgrimage and procession. Then apply those features and analysis in order to formulate a method that is suitable for the study of popular piety in the Philippines. Although the origin of the devotion to the Black Virgin Mary of Antipolo is central to my arguments, the study will also take a broader consideration of the origins of Marianism in the Philippines.
