EX PL ORE EXPLORE SNIPPETS OF THE OREGON COAST Jo Beaudreaux Displayed at the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce for June 2017 are simple snippets of the Oregon Coast. Photographer, Business Owner (BeauxArts Fine Art Materials), and Good-Doer, Jo Beaudreaux, hopes to encourage visitors and locals alike to explore nature and its simple and complex beauty. Each snippet is a moment in time to stop, reflect, absorb and carry on. Beaudreaux has a Bachelors of Fine Art cum laude. She uses photography as the ways and means of exploring the plethora of emotions, objects and scenery. Her work has been displayed at numerous shows and locations across America. This is the historic bridge designed by Conde McCullough. It first opened in 1936. The bridge’s length is 1,568 feet. Be sure to visit the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum (278 Maple Street) for more information about this region and bridge. JO BEAUDREAUX EXPLORE: SNIPPETS OF THE OREGON COAST Oops! Ran Aground! Florence, Oregon (Heceta Beach) Print Size: 16x20 $200 Oops! Many boats throughout the years have ran aground on the Oregon Coast. Ms. Nicani was one such vessel that did some in September of 2016. This was a sight to see. A dense blanket of fog dramatically decreased visibility even walking out to see the boat. The 50 feet commercial fishing boat was successfully recovered. JO BEAUDREAUX EXPLORE: SNIPPETS OF THE OREGON COAST Old Bridge Deco Florence, Oregon Print Size: 12x12 $200 The historic Siuslaw Bridge is getting a makeover! The project by Oregon Department of Transportation is repairing damaged concrete and replacing old railings. It is getting a special coating which includes zinc to help protect it from the corrosive coast weather. Completion of the project is scheduled for March 2019. We hope that you’ll visit Florence again to see the bridge and all its completed beauty. JO BEAUDREAUX EXPLORE: SNIPPETS OF THE OREGON COAST Black Rocks Yaquina Head, Cobble Beach, Oregon Print Size: 12x12 $200 The Yaquina Head Lighthouse State Park is home to not only the tallest lighthouse in Oregon, but a beautiful black cobble rock beach. The audio is something that you must hear in person. It is nothing like you’ve ever heard. No rocks or artifacts are allowed to be removed from the beach, so why not take home a stunning photo of the black rocks that sing! JO BEAUDREAUX EXPLORE: SNIPPETS OF THE OREGON COAST Dissection Florence, Oregon Print Size: 8x10 $150 Dissection is a gorgeous visual of a cross section of concrete of the historic Siuslaw Bridge railings that are being replaced. The mouth of the river between the North and South Jetties is the end of the 110 mile long river. The head of the tide is 26 miles upsteam. This is a special moment in time when you are able to venture out to see both historical locations at safely the same time.
