Swiss interim solution: Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP) ü Student and staff mobility from and to Switzerland is still possible ü Students enrolled at partner universities are eligible (regardless of their nationality) ü Exchange can take place under similar conditions as in Erasmus+ ü Scholarships for incoming and outgoing students are funded by the Swiss Confederation and disbursed by UZH

Language Center
The joint Language Center of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich offers a broad range of language courses to students and employees. The Language Center also offers a two week-long intensive German course before the beginning of the lectures as well as German language courses of different levels during the lecture period.
Housing Possibilities for Exchange Students
• More than 150 rooms in shared student houses reserved for exchange students • Possibility to find a room in a Swiss student’s shared flat via the UZH/ETH Housing Office • Priority is given to students coming from countries outside Europe.

• If you apply successfully for an exchange within the framework of the Swiss-European Mobility Programme, you will receive a scholarship (2019/20: 1‘900 – 2‘200 Swiss francs per semester of exchange). • At http://www.int.uzh.ch/en/in/organization/finance.html you find an example of a monthly student budget. • If you are in need of additional funding, you can apply at a private foundation (see website mentioned above). • Alternatively, ask your home university‘s International Office if they know of any other scholarship opportunities for your exchange.
