After extensive searches to locate the subject produced no results, the RCMP suspended the search, pending new information. 11 01:08 SEA INLAND 1 13 1 13 Kimberley and Columbia Valley SAR members 180289 WATER responded to locate a female who had fallen in the water at Lussier Hotsprings near Canal Flats. The subject was located in good condition and was brought back to the hot springs. 11 14:04 NWE LAND 1 7 1 3 Stewart SAR members and 4 Terrace SAR 180290 members responded to locate a possible missing motorist ejected from a vehicle over 100 ft embankment near the Telegraph Creek Bridge (Telegraph Creek). RCMP stood SAR down pending further investigation. Speculation that there was never a 3rd occupant. 11 19:45 VIR LAND 2 22 2 14 Juan De Fuca SAR assisted by 8 RCM SAR 180291 members responded to rescue an injured hiker on a section of the Juan De Fuca trail. SAR members were able to access the patient by crossing rough terrain to their location and RCM SAR assisted due to tide blocking egress. The injured hiker was taken off from the beach and brought out safely. 11 20:43 SWE LAND 1 2 1 2 North Shore Rescue members responded to 180292 search for a missing female in Lighthouse Park, West . The subject was located by SAR walked out of the area by police. 12 13:15 CTL INLAND 2 2 2 2 Penticton Marine Rescue members responded to 180293 WATER a vessel in distress on Skaha Lake near Kaleden. The team located the vessel with two people onboard and brought them to shore. 12 14:10 SWE LAND 2 5 2 5 North Shore Rescue members responded to 180294 locate two lost hikers in the area of . The SAR team located hikers who were safe and uninjured. 12 16:06 SWE INLAND 1 18 1 18 Chilliwack SAR responded to locate an 18 year 180295 WATER old subject in the water at the Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park Campground. The subject was not located and SAR was stood down, pending further RCMP information. 12 19:13 SEA LAND 1 5 1 5 Nelson SAR responded to locate a missing 180296 elderly female with Parkinson's. SAR was stood down when the subject was located at the neighbour's place in good condition. 12 20:00 CTL LAND 1 26 1 26 Vernon SAR members responded to locate a 180297 missing 72-year-old female in the Hidden Lake area outside of Enderby. SAR was stood down after the subject was discovered inside the motor home, deceased. 13 15:51 SEA LAND 1 2 1 2 Nelson SAR members responded to locate a lost 180298 technician doing some repairs on Winlaw Mountain, close to Pedro Creek FSR, near Nelson. The subject got stuck in the snow in a creek and managed to free himself. 13 19:39 SEA LAND 1 9 1 9 Revelstoke SAR members responded to rescue 180299 an injured mountain biker on Boulder Mountain Bike Trail. SAR was stood down when it was determined that the subject made his way off the trail and got a ride to the hospital. 13 19:43 CTL LAND 1 11 1 11 Wells Gray SAR members responded to rescue 180300 a hiker who had fallen off of a 400 foot cliff at the lookout near Spahats Creek Falls by Clearwater Valley Road, near Clearwater. The subject was located deceased. 14 18:46 SWE LAND 1 18 1 18 Coquitlam SAR members responded to locate a 180301 missing elderly male with dementia last seen near Mundy Park. RCMP stood down SAR as the subject wandered back home. 15 03:37 VIR OCEAN 5 68 2 3 68 Westcoast Inland SAR, Alberni Valley Rescue, 180302 Arrowsmith Rescue, Comox Valley SAR members responded to search for 5 missing boaters in Duffin Cove, Tofino. Two subjects were located and transported to hospital by BCAS for injuries. At the date of this report the other three subjects are unaccounted for. 15 20:12 SWE LAND 3 4 3 4 Squamish SAR members responded to locate 180303 three missing off roaders in the area of Squamish Valley Road and Tantalus, near Squamish. SAR was stood down as the subjects were located in Deep Cove. 15 20:42 SWE LAND 1 12 1 12 Squamish SAR responded to locate a missing 180304 hiker on the Neverland Loop of the Sea to Sky Gondola. The SAR team located the subject and turned him over to the RCMP. 15 2231 VIR LAND 1 5 1 5 Campbell River SAR members responded to 180305 rescue a male experiencing shortness of breath on Hanson Island. SAR was stood down by RCMP as BCAS and RCMP rescued the subject. 15 22:54 CTL INLAND 1 10 1 10 Shuswap SAR responded to locate a missing 180306 WATER boater on Shuswap Lake, last seen near Magna Bay. The subject was rescued, alive and well. 16 0109 VIR LAND 3 3 3 3 Squamish SAR members responded to locate 180307 three climbers on the Sta Wamus Chief Mountain. The SAR members talked the climbers down safely. 16 10:00 SWE LAND 3 14 3 9 Pemberton SAR and 5 PEP Air members 180308 responded to locate a possible vehicle over an embankment on Hwy 99 North of Pemberton. An overflight of the area by PEP Air found no results and PEP Air passed along points of interest to RCMP. 16 19:20 VIR LAND 22 22 Cowichan SAR responded to the Duncan area 180162 to take down flagging, debrief and do a brief search UPDATE while removing flagging in the area. SAR was stood down. 16 13:53 SWE LAND 1 15 1 15 members of Squamish SAR responded to 180309 rescue an injured female near Lovely Water Lake. SAR was stood down after the female declined rescue. 16 14:53 SEA LAND 1 16 1 16 Fernie SAR members responded to rescue an 180310 injured mountain biker who sustained a broken pelvis while riding in the Ridgemont Avenue area of Fernie. The subject was rescued and transferred to BCAS. 16 15:49 SWE LAND 9 9 Chilliwack SAR members responded to 180311 investigate whistle blasts heard coming from the NE side of Elk Mountain. RCMP stood down the SAR team after an extensive search produced no results. 16 17:15 SEA LAND 1 10 1 10 members from Golden SAR responded to 180312 rescue an injured mountain biker on Mountain Shadow Trails. The subject was located and transferred to BCAS for treatment. 16 20:28 CTL LAND 1 7 1 7 Princeton SAR members responded to rescue an 180313 injured quadder in Manning Park. SAR was stood down by BCAS as Princeton and District Highway Extrication Society performed the rescue. 16 21:12 SEA LAND 1 17 1 9 Revelstoke, 4 Golden, 2 Vernon, 1 Cranbrook, 180314 and 1 Kamloops SAR members responded to search for a possible missing person at the 19km mark of the West Perry FSR, west of Revelstoke, near the Enchanted Forest. The subject was found alive and transferred to BCAS. 16 21:36 SWE LAND 1 3 1 3 North Shore Rescue responded to locate an 180315 overdue hiker in Hanes Valley. The subject was located and SAR stood down. 17 0359 VIR LAND 1 15 1 4 PEMO SAR, 6 Metchosin SAR, 4 Saltspring SAR, 180316 and 1 Nanaimo SAR members responded to locate a despondent male in North Saanich. The subject was located and handed over to the RCMP. 17 10:06 NWE INLAND 4 4 Kitimat SAR responded to the Kitimat River 180317 WATER Estuary to investigate a report of an abandoned boat. The boat was located and appeared to be purposefully secured/tied up. SAR was stood down. 17 11:09 SWE LAND 1 5 1 5 members of North Shore Rescue responded to 180318 rescue an injured hiker in the Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. SAR was stood down en route as the subject was being rescued by the fire department. 17 11:24 SWE LAND 2 16 2 16 members of Squamish SAR responded to 180319 rescue two people possibly impacted by an avalanche on . The SAR team flew into area and determined there were no people impacted by the avalanche. 17 15:22 NWE INLAND 2 5 2 5 Terrace SAR members responded to locate two 180320 WATER kayakers in distress on the Skeena River. The subjects were brought out alive and well by SAR. 17 15:40 SWE LAND 1 14 1 14 Ridge Meadows SAR members responded to 180321 rescue an injured hiker who sustained a possible ankle fracture in Golden Ears Park near Maple Ridge. The subject was rescued and passed to BCAS by the SAR team. 17 16:06 SWE LAND 1 5 1 5 North Shore Rescue members responded to 180322 rescue an injured mountain biker off the Bobsled run of Mount Fromme. BCAS stood SAR down as the Fire Department was rescuing the subject. 17 16:14 CTL INLAND 1 11 1 11 Pemberton SAR members responded to rescue 180323 WATER a subject in the water on Gunn Lake, Gold Bridge. The SAR team was stood down after an extensive search with nothing located. 17 16:28 SWE LAND 2 2 2 2 Hope SAR members responded to search for two 180324 lost Hikers in the Coquihalla Recreation Area, north of Hope. Hope SAR located the subject and escorted them out to safety. 17 17:17 SWE AIR ELT 3 3 PEP Air members responded to locate an ELT 180325 sounding at the Langley Airport. The ELT stopped sounding and PEP Air was stood down. 17 18:49 VIR LAND 1 15 1 15 Members of Comox Valley SAR responded to 180326 rescue an injured mountain biker on Forbidden Plateau. The subject was rescued by SAR and transferred to BCAS for treatment. 17 20:22 NWE LAND 2 2 2 2 Terrace SAR members responded to locate two 180327 hikers on Terrace Mountain. The two subjects walked out on their own and SAR was stood down. 17 20:19 NWE LAND 3 6 3 6 Fort St. James and Burns Lake SAR members 180328 responded to rescue three stranded off roaders outside Fort St. James. BODY RECOVERY

On 13 June, Kamloops SAR responded to an RCMP request to assist with a body recovery. The body was found near the boat launch on Westsyde Road and Adrenaline Drive in Vinsulla, near Barriere.

INTERFACE FIRE

On 16 June, the District of Mackenzie opened up their EOC in response to a wildfire near Gataiga Lake.

MISCELLANEOUS

On 13 June, an EMBC specialist requested a task number for the activities related to the Coastal Response Exercise 2021.

On 16 June, Columbia Valley Fire Department responded for a collapsed 14 year old female. Initially the call came in for a medical rescue inside the teams’ area of response. (In the campground) but the location was updated to the picnic area which is approximately 1 mile outside their area. Subject was transferred to BCAS for treatment.

On 17 June, Sointula Fire Department responded to rescue a child who had significant head injuries after a fall from a wheelchair.

URBAN FIRE (S):

On 11 June, a structure fire in affected multiple buildings forcing the evacuation of 100 – 150 people. Two deaths resulted and many of the impacted will be unable to return for some time.

On 11 June, an elderly couple was evacuated from their home by the fire department due to a large swarm of bees entering the home from the chimney.
