The winner as well as the second and third choices will be announced sometime in mid-March. In total, $250 in

CRC Robotics Competition: Vanier wins it!

We are pleased to announce that Vanier College plans to transform the current Math & Science Centre into the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Centre. This change is set to take place when the Library renovations are undertaken. In anticipation of the change, we are interested in having our students offer their vision for the new Centre.

Specifically, we are looking for teams of students to submit proposals for three spaces within the upcoming STEM Centre: the Think Tank, Hackerspace, and Study Hub. Geogebra is a free, powerful, and easy to use mathematical software application which allows teachers to create demonstrations and worksheets that combine algebra and geometrical constructions. The software can be embedded in Webworks to create innovative new problems or used in any computer lab or viewing room since it can be run either locally or as a web app. Finally, users of Geogebra have access to a vast databank of pre-created worksheets to use or modify as they see fit.
