France Le Groupe Psa Et Fca Avancent Rapidement Vers ANALYSE DE PRESSE DE 14H00 26/11/2019 FRANCE LE GROUPE PSA ET FCA AVANCENT RAPIDEMENT VERS LA SIGNATURE D’UN ACCORD Le Groupe PSA et FCA avancent rapidement vers la signature d’un accord engageant sur une fusion, qu’ils comptent signer dans les prochaines semaines, ont déclaré les deux groupes dans une note interne dont Reuters a eu connaissance. « Un process a été mis en place pour préparer et approuver les conditions définitives de l’opération. Source : COMMUNIQUE DE PRESSE RENAULT (25/11/19) Par Alexandra Frutos RENAULT RECONDITIONNE LES MOTEURS ET LES BOÎTES DE VITESSES À CHOISY-LE-ROI Depuis soixante-dix ans, Renault effectue des échanges standards de moteurs et de boîtes de vitesses dans son usine de Choisy-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne), qui compte 270 salariés. Pendant la période de garantie, les éléments hors service sont remplacés par des neufs. Après la garantie, le constructeur propose aux clients de reconditionner certains organes en échange standard à des prix inférieurs de 30 % à 50 % au neuf. L’usine refait ainsi 15 000 moteurs et 18 000 boîtes de vitesses par an. Ces organes coûteux constituent sa principale activité, mais elle reconditionne aussi des pièces de châssis, colonnes de direction et autres compresseurs. Dans l’atelier, le moteur est démonté et les pièces sont nettoyées, expertisées et remontées à la main. « Environ 70 % d’entre elles sont réutilisées et les mécaniciens ajoutent 30 % de pièces neuves. Les moteurs d’échange standard sont peut-être plus fiables que les neufs car on a enlevé les pièces faibles, et ils réduisent l’impact environnemental », explique Jean-Denis Curt, responsable du pôle recyclage et économie circulaire de Renault. Les pièces usées repartent dans les fonderies. Mais l’allongement de la durée de vie des moteurs diminue la demande. Le reconditionnement concerne surtout les moteurs diesel, plus coûteux que ceux à essence. Avec la baisse des ventes de diesel, l’usine diversifie cette année son activité aux pièces mécatroniques et électroniques. Elle a ouvert un atelier de remplacement de la carte électronique des colonnes de direction et elle reconditionnera à la fin de l’année les tablettes tactiles de navigation en réinstallant le logiciel. Une équipe d’ingénieurs étudie l’opportunité de refaire aussi l’électronique de puissance des moteurs électriques. Ce tissu est fabriqué avec des fibres de ceintures de sécurité et de bouteilles en plastique. Le procédé a été mis au point en Occitanie par les Filatures du Parc dans le Tarn et le tisseur Adient Fabrics en Ariège. Depuis septembre, les finitions Zen et Intens de la troisième génération de la citadine électrique utilisent donc des tissus recyclés pour les sièges, la garniture des portes, la planche de bord et le support du levier de vitesses, soit 8 mètres carrés et 3,3 kg par voiture. Source : ECHOS (26/11/19) Par Alexandra Frutos FAURECIA VISE UN CHIFFRE D’AFFAIRES DE PLUS DE 20,5 MILLIARDS D’EUROS EN 2022 Faurecia a annoncé viser un chiffre d’affaires record de 20,5 milliards d’euros et une marge opérationnelle record de 8 % à l’horizon 2022. L’équipementier français a par ailleurs confirmé l’ensemble de ses objectifs financiers pour 2019 dans un marché automobile plus difficile que prévu. « Nos ventes, notre rentabilité et notre génération de cash atteindront des niveaux record en 2022 », a promis Patrick Koller, directeur général de Faurecia, dans un communiqué publié le 26 novembre, avant une communication prévue dans la journée auprès des investisseurs. L’équipementier a précisé qu’il visait des flux de trésorerie positifs représentant 4 % des ventes d’ici à 2022, contre environ 3 % en 2018. Les objectifs de 2022 seront atteints « malgré une révision importante de la production automobile mondiale », a expliqué Faurecia. Le groupe table sur « des volumes du marché légèrement négatifs en 2020 » et qui progresseraient de 1 % en moyenne en 2021 et 2022, pour atteindre « 87 millions de véhicules en 2022 », contre 97 millions lors de la précédente estimation en mai 2018. L’an dernier, Faurecia avait atteint des ventes record, à 17,5 milliards d’euros, et une marge opérationnelle également record à 7,3 % du chiffre d’affaires. Touché comme l’ensemble de la filière depuis l’été 2018 par le retournement du marché automobile mondial, Faurecia vise cette année un taux de marge limité à 7 %. Les nouvelles technologies qui transforment les cockpits automobiles sont le principal pilier de la stratégie de croissance de l’équipementier. Après le rachat du Japonais Clarion en début d’année, Faurecia a regroupé ses compétences en matière d’électronique, de logiciel, de traitement d’image et d’intelligence artificielle pour « la réalisation de sa vision du cockpit du futur » au sein d’une nouvelle entité Faurecia Clarion Electronics (FCE). Le groupe veut offrir de nouvelles prestations aux automobilistes « en combinant des fonctionnalités telle que l’infodivertissement, l’éclairage d’ambiance, le confort postural et thermique ainsi qu’un son immersif ». FCE entend se concentrer « sur les segments de marché qui offrent une rentabilité élevée » et sur ceux où elle possède un avantage technologique. En passant d’une clientèle essentiellement japonaise à un portefeuille mondial de clients, FCE vise 1,6 milliard de ventes en 2022 et 2,5 milliards en 2025, contre 1 milliard cette année. Cette entité est engagée dans un vaste programme de réduction des coûts, comprenant notamment une réduction des effectifs, pour passer « d’au moins 2 % de rentabilité en 2019 » à 6 % en 2022 et 8 % en 2025. Faurecia poursuit par ailleurs ses investissements dans la « mobilité propre », avec en particulier des équipements pour la réduction des émissions d’oxydes d’azote pour les moteurs thermiques et des technologies dédiées à la pile à combustible développées au sein d’une coentreprise avec Michelin. Il estime qu’il atteindra une croissance de 9 % des ventes dans cette activité « mobilité propre » entre 2020 et 2025, puis de 11 % entre 2025 et 2030 « grâce à l’accélération de l’électrification et des gains de parts de marché sur tous les segments ». Les immatriculations de VU de plus de 3,5 tonnes ont chuté de 14,9 % en octobre (quatrième mois consécutif de baisse), à 32 880 unités, tandis qu’elles ont augmenté de 3,3 % sur dix mois, à 334 746 unités. Le marché des véhicules industriels de plus de 16 tonnes a pour sa part reculé de 15,2 % le mois dernier, à 26 663 unités, mais a enregistré une croissance de 2,9 % au cumul, à 271 436 unités.     Personal story from EV owner I am a 36-year-old EV early adopter living in regional Tasmania, originally from Sydney. I heard about this inquiry through the Tasmanian Electric Vehicle Association (Tas branch of AEVA). My partner and I bought an ex-demo Holden Volt as our second car in 2013, for just under $49,000. It is now our primary car, the other being a 2001 diesel Toyota Landcruiser Prado, which we have for its offroading ability and towbar. The Holden Volt was a short-lived right-hand-drive version of the Chevrolet Volt, made in Detroit by GM. It is a plugin hybrid (PHEV) with 50-80km of battery-only range, and a hybrid mode using its petrol range extender of ~400km. This means it uses only electricity and burns no fuel on short trips, but can also go anywhere without needing to find a charging station. The battery capacity is about 10kWh, so on off-peak 15c electricity rates, it costs $1.50 to fill from empty. When running in hybrid mode, it uses 5-6L of fuel per 100km and turns the range extender seamlessly on and off as needed to supply the powertrain. In addition to being cheap to run, our car is fun to drive, as it accelerates instantly and silently from a standstill, and slows down and reclaims energy back into the battery when the accelerator is released, so is good at winding roads. It also reclaims energy when rolling down hills, which means it stays on the cruise control speed you set it to and saves on brake wear.
