Dear Friend : Morehead State Uni versity i committed to upholding the highest integrity within all procedures and practice of the athletic department. We are pleased to publish this note as a refe rence to understanding often confusing NCAA regul ations. The NCAA de fines "representatives of athletic interests" a alumni, friend and booster of the University. A ll member institutions are held accountable for their representatives' actions. One violation cou Id jeopardize the e ligibility of any or all Eagle Athletic programs. As a general rule, anyone who ha financ iall y supported Eagle Athletics. been a member of any booster organization, or who has supported Eagle Athletics is considered a "representative" of Eagle Athletics. If anyone has que tions regarding these types of re lati onship , please contact Brian Hutchinson, As ociate Director of Athletics (606) 783-2593. Prospecti ve tudent-athletes can be de fined as a student who has started clas es in the ninth grade or any younger tudent athlete who has received a benefit from the institution. Thee individual may onl y be recruited by MSU coaches who have passed the NCAA Recruiting Rules Examination. While "representatives" of Eagle Athletics may speak to any of the e individual via te lephone or in person, a recruiting effort must not be made. Also, no student-athlete or prospective tudent athlete may receive any extra benefit outside of the support provided by the institution. For any questions regarding this description, please contact Jim Well s, Compliance and Educati onal Services Director (606) 783-5 136. These are certainly not all the regulations any "representati ve" of Eagle Athletics must remember. However, they provide a good outline of the type of thing that could endanger the eli gibility of any MSU Athletic program. Again, feel free to contact us if you have any question . Thanks again for your support of Morehead State Athletics.

Sincerely, 9'-YFY~ Jim Wells Brian Hutchinson Compliance and Educational Services Director A ociate Director of Athletics
