Verdal kommune og Trøndelag fylkeskommune eier hver 50 % av aksjene i SNK AS. I tillegg til virksomhetene på Stiklestad som siden 1990-tallet er samlet i SNK, omfatter det konsoliderte museet: x Stjørdal museum, Stjørdal x Levanger Fotomuseum, Levanger x Egge museum, Steinkjer x Nils Aas kunstverksted, Inderøy Siden tidlighøsten 2019 har organiseringen av det konsoliderte museet for Inntrøndelag og SNKs rolle i dette, vært et tema mellom styret og eierne av SNK AS. Prosessen deretter inkluderer behandling av saker ved flere anledninger hos de to eierne og hos SNK AS, utredningsarbeid organisert av Trøndelag fylkeskommune i et samarbeid med de berørte kommunene, og påfølgende saksbehandling av rapporten «Med fortiden inn i fremtiden» datert i mai 2020. Denne rapporten er behandlet i Verdal kommunestyre den 15. juni 2020 og i Trøndelag fylkesting den 17. juni 2020. Begge vedtakene innebærer at saken skal utredes videre med sikte på en ny behandling i desember 2020, dvs at en slik utredning må foreligge primo november. Jeg forstår at man oppsummerer den videre utredningsoppgaven ca slik: Trøndelag fylkesting 1. Det legges fram en ny sak for fylkestinget i desember 2020 basert på videre prosess med utgangspunkt i følgende scenarier: a) Refordeling av eiersits i det nåværende SNK AS b) Overføring til andre konsoliderte museer Verdal kommunestyre 2. Et eget driftsselskap slik at en både oppnår eierskap og innflytelse for alle museumskommunene. Det konsoliderte museet må få et eget navn. 3. Stiklestad Nasjonale Kultursenter reetableres på en selvstendig plattform som eksempelvis Falstadsenteret arbeider på. De vedtakene som danner grunnlaget for utredningens utfordring, indikerer ulike løsningsstrategier. Disse strategiene bygger på ulike scenarier, og jeg forstår det slik at disse forventes utredet som alternativer. Eierne av SNK AS har i sine vedtak gjort ulike vurderinger av resultatene av den utredningsprosessen som så langt er gjennomført, og gjort ulike forutsetninger om organiseringen av det fortsatte utredningsarbeidet som er planlagt fram til en ny behandling i desember 2020. Vi ser også at vedtakenes pkt 1 og 2 vil handle om løsninger innenfor Det nasjonale museumsnettverket som forvaltes under Kulturdepartementet, mens pkt 3 kan også handle om en løsning utenfor ordningen for dette museumsnettverket. rp 200811 Side 3 Verdal kommune SNK på selvstendig plattform? Organiseringen av det utredningsarbeidet som skal foreligge innen desember 2020, er en sak som drøftes mellom eierne av SNK AS og de berørte museer og kommuner, og forventes avklart etter sommerferietiden. 1.2 Oppdraget for den herværende utredningen Ved behandlingen i Verdal formannskap og Verdal kommunestyre den 11. og 15. juni 2020, ble det vedtatt en særlig utredningsoppgave til rådmannen i Verdal. Dette punktet i vedtaket er i sin helhet formulert slik: Stiklestad Nasjonale Kultursenter ble opprinnelig etablert for å tjene som et kombinert kultur- og reiselivsforetak1 med nasjonalt ansvar for Olavsarven, og senere nasjonaljubileet 2030. For å sette kultursenteret best mulig i stand til fortsatt å rendyrke disse store nasjonale oppgavene på en best mulig måte, bes rådmannen også utrede muligheten for at Stiklestad Nasjonale Kultursenter reetableres på en selvstendig plattform som eksempelvis Falstadsenteret arbeider på. Det er dette punktet i kommunestyrets vedtak som er oppsummert som pkt 3 i utredningsoppgavene gjengitt på foregående side. Hovedpoenget i dette vedtaket er ambisjonen om en «selvstendig plattform», og at Falstadsenteret nevnes som et eksempel på en slik løsning. Ettersom dette er en utredningsoppgave som ikke er basert på mulig løsningsscenario innenfor dagens museumsordning, og at den er adressert til rådmannen i Verdal, har rådmannen i Verdal ønsket dette alternativet nærmere utredet og vurdert før planen for den videre utredning i løpet av høsten skal avklares med Trøndelag fylkeskommune. Rådmannen har derfor den 14. juli 2020 engasjert Cand. oecon. Stein Storsul til å gjøre denne utredningen, idet oppdraget ble formulert til å omfatte følgende oppgaver: Utrede spørsmålet om evt å trekke SNK ut av rolle og funksjon som museum og overføre det til en løsning etter modell av Falstadsenterets. Innhente opplysninger og beskrive Falstadsenterets organisasjon, samfunns- oppdrag, målgrupper, nettverk og arbeidsform. Supplere beskrivelsen erfaring og parallelle løsninger ved museer og institusjoner som kan vurderes som tilsvarende. Analysere hvordan denne modellen evt kan anvendes for SNK til forskjell fra dagens museumsordning, samt hvilke muligheter og/eller ulemper dette måtte innebære. Oppdraget omfatter således på ingen måte noen del av de spørsmål som ligger i de utredningsoppgavene som er oppsummert i pkt 1 og 2 foran. Denne rapporten kommer heller ikke til å gjøre noen som helst vurdering av nåsituasjonen for SNK og det konsoliderte museet for Inntrøndelag, ei heller av den tidligere utredning og behandling av denne situasjonen. Jeg takker for åpenhet og vennlig bistand. 1 For ordens skyld – det er vedtaket og ikke SNK som bruker denne benevnelsen. rp 200811 Side 4 Verdal kommune SNK på selvstendig plattform? 2 Falstadsenteret – modell? 2.1 Forhistorien til Falstadsenteret Jeg viser til Falstadsenterets egen oppsummering på hjemmesiden: Stiftelsen Falstadsenteret ble etablert i august 2000 som nasjonalt opplærings- og dokumentasjonssenter for krigens fangehistorie, humanitær folkerett og menneskerettigheter. Institusjonen har også ansvar for en rik museumssamling, bygget opp fra etableringen av det første Falstad museum i 1985. Falstadsenterets samlinger bygger på to generasjoner Falstad museum. Det første Falstad museum åpnet 8. mai 1985, og var drevet av frivillige fra nærmiljøet og med tilknytning til Norsk-Jugoslavisk samband. Museet hadde sine lokaler i den gamle barneskolen på Ekne.     NORDIC THEATRE STUDIES Vol. 31, No. 1. 2019, 108-123 Playing History Play and ideology in Spelet om Heilag Olav JULIE RONGVED AMUNDSEN ABSTRACT Spelet om Heilag Olav, also called Stiklestadspelet, is Norway’s longest running historical spel. Spels are Norwegian annual outdoor performances about a historical event from the local place where the spel is performed. Spelet om Heilag Olav is about the martyr death of King Olav Harladsson at Stiklestad in 1030, which is said to have brought Christianity to Norway. The spel is subject to conservative aesthetics where both the history of medieval Norway and the spel’s own inherent history guarantees that there will not be big changes in the performance from year to year. This conservative aesthetics makes room for a certain form of nostalgia that can be linked to play. The spel makes use of more serious sides of play. In the theories of Victor Turner, play is connected to the liminoid that differs from the liminal because the liminoid is connected to choice while the liminal is duty. The spel is liminoid but it can be argued that the liminoid has a mimetic relationship to the liminal and through play the spel can make use of several liminal qualities without becoming an actually transforming event. One of the main aesthetic ideas of the spel is authenticity. That this today feels old fashioned is legitimized through the necessity of authenticity and authenticity’s connection to play. Through the use of Žižek’s theories of ideology and his term of failure, the article argues that the failure of creating totalities is inherent to theatre, and that this failure is play.

    Connected by water, no matter how far. Viking Age central farms at the Trondheimsfjorden, Norway, as gateways between waterscapes and landscapes Birgit Maixner Abstract – During the Viking Age, the Trondheimsfjorden in Central Norway emerges as a hub of maritime communication and exchange, supported by an advanced ship-building technology which offered excellent conditions for water-bound traffic on both local and supra-re- gional levels. Literary and archaeological sources indicate a high number of central farms situated around the fjord or at waterways leading to it, all of them closely connected by water. This paper explores the role of these central farms as gateways and nodes between waterscapes and landscapes within an amphibious network, exemplified by matters of trade and exchange. By analysing a number of case studies, their locations and resource bases, the partly different functions of these sites within the frames of local and supra-regional exchange networks become obvious. Moreover, new archaeological finds from private metal detecting from recent years indicate that bul- lion-based trivial transactions seem to have taken place at a large range of littoral farms around the Trondheimsfjorden, and not, as could be expected, only in the most important central farms or a small number of major trading places.     THE LAST STRETCH: HIKING FROM STIKLESTAD TO TRONDHEIM The last stage of St. Olavsleden runs along a fjord and ‘marka’, a Norwegian expression for the nature areas between villages, to Trondheim, end of this pilgrimage. In Trondheim lies the Nidaros Cathedral, where Olav was buried. Day 1: Stiklestad – Munkeby (ca. 22 km) The route between Stiklestad and Munkeby is relatively easy, through mostly agricultural landscapes. In Munkeby you stay at a pilgrim’s cabin, near the ruins of a medieval monastery. Not far away is a modern monastery, where you can buy cheese from the monks. Day 2: Munkeby – Markabygda (ca. 22 km) The walk is a bit rough, partly on unpaved roads and through wetlands. The path follows Lake Tomsvattnet along some old summer farms. There is a lookout with panoramic views of the mountains Haråhaugan and Vinkjerran. Day 3: Markabygda – Borås (ca. 25 km) Today’s trip is mainly on dirt roads through the ‘marka’, a Norwegian expression for nature areas between villages. You pass Lake Ausetvatnet. In the afternoon you reach a farm turned hostel in Boras. Day 4: Borås – Ersgard (ca. 23 km) You continue via Vollhaugen to Vaerdal , passing several historic sites. The church of Vaerdal is located near St. Olavsleden and has a great history. The tour ends at the beautiful farm Ersgard. Here you can take a dip in the river or try catching some salmon. Day 5: Ersgard – Folden (ca. 25 km) The pilgrimage continues along dirt roads through the village Hommelvik and then uphill to Brennberga and Nygårdsvollen. Here you see and hear the river Homla, which you follow for a while.

    Experience the pilgrim route St. Olav’s Way by bike, from Selånger to Trondheim, 11 days Program Background Viking king Olav Haraldson went ashore in Selånger and then crossed Medelpad and Jämtland on his journey back to Norway. He reached Stiklestad but there he died in battle on July 29th 1030. He was canonised a year after his death and his image can be seen in the church of Frösön. He is buried in the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, which early became an important destination for Christian pilgrims. The route St. Olavsleden stretches 564 km from the Gulf of Bothnia to the Atlantic Ocean. The Swedish-Norwegian part of the trail begins in Selånger outside Sundsvall and runs through a varied landscape of large forests, river valleys, agricultural grounds and mountains until it reaches the blue fiord by the ocean. Day 1, Selånger, Sundsvall – Stöde ca. 43 km In Selånger about 10 km from the train station in Sundsvall you check in, receive your pilgrim pass and leave your luggage with us for further transport to Stöde, today´s final destination. You will get your packed lunch and your journey along St. Olavsleden can begin. St. Olavsleden passes by Kungsnäs and the road continues through the valley of Selånger in a rural landscape. Heading towards Stöde your ride continues along the south side of the Stöde Lake offering beautiful scenery along the way.
