WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION Rally Estonia 2020 will be special. The biggest motorsport event in the Baltics held for the 10th time is official round of FIA World Rally Championship for the first time in history. It has been our goal since the first rally in 2010 and it is a big recognition to Estonia. This year’s FIA World Rally Championship continues in circumstances we have never been before. COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot and organizing a WRC round is different challenge. Safety has always been top priority in autosport and considering the situation we have to guarantee safety not only on the stages. FIA and WRC Promoter have prepared the guidelines for this situation and we will follow them strictly. It concerns competitors, teams, officials, media and spectators. The government of Estonia has formed a special committee for the purpose of minimizing the risk of coronavirus at Rally Estonia. All the COVID-19 rules and restrictions in force in Estonia during Rally Estonia are observed. We believe that by following the rules and guidelines

Norwegians Andreas Mikkelsen and co-driver Ola Fløene (ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo) of ŠKODA Motorsport supported team Toksport WRT win WRC2 and strengthen their category overall lead. Although being newcomers to the ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo, Russian crew Alexey Lukyanuk/Yaroslav Fedorov dominates WRC3 on the Baltic country’s gravel roads. Based on a ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo, the fully electric ŠKODA RE-X1 Kreisel finishes Rallye Weiz in Austria third overall. Andreas Mikkelsen and co-driver Ola Fløene are back in victory lane. After a string of FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) events with bad luck, the Norwegians sprayed champagne from the podium of Rally Estonia. Driving the ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo of ŠKODA Motorsport supported team Toksport WRT to WRC2 win on the ultra-fast gravel roads of the Baltics, they strengthened their lead in the category overall standings. “I would like to thank Toksport and ŠKODA for the fantastic car they provided to me and I am happy, that I could repay them with the victory the whole team deserves.

One phenomenon is common to tarmac rallies: By cutting the corners, the competitors drag stones and sand onto the roads, each car leaving the racing line increasingly slippery. The first ever FIA World Rally Championship event in Croatia especially lived up to this reputation, the gravel polluted corners causing numerous spins and offs.

Tõõnõ külg jääs vasta Tarto- maa Otõmpää (Otepää) ja Kamja (Kambja) kihlkundõ. Umaette kihlkund tetti Kanepist Roodsi kuninga Karl XI käsükiräga 1675. aas- tagal. Põlva, Otõmpää ja Urvastõ kihlkunna veere panti üttekokko. Põha-Võromaa olõssi ku uma pinnamoodu poolõst nigu veitkene vigurinõ, a sis jälki parralt tõsinõ. Seo ilma aigu või viil kuulda, ku mõni ütles: «Tulõ minnä Kanapäähä.» Kanepit teedäs laembalt ku kihlkunna keskpaika. Siin om ütenkuun kõik inemiisile aost aigu tähtsä paiga – kuul ja kerik, seldsimaja ja poodi, vana kalmuaia. " KOORASTÕ om kihlkunna edelänukan. Koorastõ mõisa (Kors) oll olõman jo 1511. aastagal. Koorastõ vald oll inne viimäst sõta kihlkunnan kõgõ suurõmb vald. Tan om hulga ilosit järvi ja suurõ mõtsa. PÕLGASTÕ jääs Kanepi-Puskaru-Põlva tii viirde. Before I underline the team’s hopes and expectations for this event, I wish to acknowledge all the hard work that’s gone into putting on this rally in such a short amount of time. The efforts of AKK Sports and all the volunteers, particularly in the context of COVID-19, has really impressed me so a big thank you to them. It’s fair to say we showed our limits on Rallye Monte-Carlo and found ourselves licking our wounds and trying to get ahead. Unfortunately, it didn’t work there and after making some changes to our approach we start the second round of the season hoping it will be much better than the first. Having wished a fond farewell to Carlos del Barrio after Monte as he prepared for the next chapter of his career, we are pleased to welcome back Craig and Paul for the start of their half-season campaign in a Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. We know very well their ability and determination as they try to make a strong start to their season. As well as our regular World Rally Car drivers, we are giving a big chance to a really promising youngster, Oliver Solberg.
