Unfortunately, we were not blessed with any articles from our members to publish in our Au- gust newsletter. Once again, we had to open the creaking door to the time machine and pull out an article to reprint in this issue. The year for 1955 was indeed a banner year for the automobile in- dustry in the United States. Almost everyone sold cars like they were going out of style. Chevrolet sold more cars than most people thought possible. This was due to some fresh styling and an ex- cellent small block V-eight engine, which really lit a fire under the Chevrolet brand. Buick also had their best year ever, taking third place away from Plymouth.
