Technology Plan Contact Information………………………………………………………..129 3 Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District Technology Plan 2011-16 VALLEY CENTER-PAUMA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FIVE-YEAR TECHNOLOGY PLAN 2011-2016 Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District (VCPUSD) was created as of July 1, 2000. Three school districts unified which included Valley Center Union Elementary, Pauma School District and Valley Center High School from the Escondido Union School District. The district consists of eight schools in grades K-12th. The schools are: VC Primary: K-2nd, VC Elementary: 3-5th, Lilac: K-5th, VC Middle: 6-8th, Pauma: K-8th, Valley Center High School: 9-12th, Oak Glen School: 10-12th and VC Prep: K-12th. The school district is located in the northern part of San Diego County and has a school enrollment of approximately 4306 students, K-12th grade. The ethnic makeup is approximately 50% White, 40% Hispanic and 10% Native American. I. TECHNOLOGY PLAN DURATION – FIVE YEARS Valley Center-Pauma Unified’s Technology Plan will outline the district’s goals and objectives for the integration of technology into all core curricular areas in order to improve student achievement. The five-year plan (2011-16) includes K-12th grade and covers the 9 components: 1. Plan Duration 2. Stakeholders 3. Curriculum 4. Professional Development 5. STAKEHOLDERS Involvement in Development of the Technology Plan All stakeholders were invited to participate in the technology planning process via phone, class announcements, e-mail, personal invitations and parent advisory meetings. Teachers and staff were informed at faculty meetings, Technology Advisory Education Committee meetings and general meetings.
