New Members of the International Advisory Board Reinhard Berner Reinhard Berner is Professor of Pediatrics and since 2012 Chairman and Direc tor of the Children’s Hospital, University Medical Center Carl Gustav Carus at the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. His research has focused on invasive infections in newborns and (young) children. His main interest is in the (mole cular) epidemiology of group B and group A streptococci, viral respiratory tract infection, as well as the diagnosis of sepsis with novel technical approaches.
