  • Kansas General Tire Superspeedway Challenge
Kansas General Tire Superspeedway Challenge The Dawn 150 is the fifth round of the General Tire Superspeedway Challenge, comprised of 7 races held on paved ovals greater than 1.5 miles in length. - A superspeedway championship for the car owners within the overall championship of the ARCA Menards Series 20-race schedule. - Only race points are counted towards a team’s point total, with the bonus points for leading laps or winning the pole disregarded. - Champion crowned at Kansas Speedway on Friday, October 16, 2020 and recognized at annual championship awards banquet. Kentucky Speedway was not originally on the 2020 ARCA Menards Series season schedule, but the change of scenery did not bother Ty Gibbs one bit as he drove the Coy Gibbs-owned No. 18 Toyota to the win in the General Tire 150. The venue change to Kentucky from Charlotte Motor Speedway played out directly in favor of the talented 17-year old driver, who was able to make his 1.5-mile speedway debut thanks to relaxed age restrictions in place at Kentucky. This was the second superspeedway win of the season for the No. 18 team, who also won at Pocono Raceway in June with Gibbs behind the wheel. The big win for Ty Gibbs pushed his father’s No. 18 team to the top of the General Tire Superspeedway Challenge point standings with 163 points, but the Joe Gibbs Racing team shouldn’t get too comfortable in that position. The No. 18 team holds a lead of one point over Cathy Venturini’s No. 25 team with full-time driver Michael Self.

ARIC ALMIROLA: Driver, No. 10 Ford Mustang Birthdate: March 14, 1984 Birthplace: Fort Walton Beach, Florida Hometown: Tampa, Florida Residence: Mooresville, North Carolina Spouse: Janice Children: Alex, Abby Social Media: Facebook (@AricAlmirola), Twitter (@Aric_Almirola) and Instagram (@Aric_Almirola) Aric Almirola’s career has come full circle at Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), with the driver of the No. 10 Smithfield Ford Mustang having enjoyed the two best seasons of his NASCAR Cup Series career. Almirola has made the NASCAR Playoffs in back-to-back seasons (2018-2019), and in his first year with SHR in 2018, he had his best season to date. He finished a career-best fifth in the championship standings as a member of the 16-driver NASCAR Playoffs and advanced to the Round of 8 for the first time. Almirola won his second career Cup Series race Oct. 14 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway as part of a season-long tally that included four top-five and 17 top-10 finishes and 181 laps led, surpassing all of his previous single-season statistics. Matching those numbers in 2019 proved difficult, but Almirola continued to perform. He scored his second career NASCAR Cup Series pole – and first with SHR – Feb. 22 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The pole symbolized Almirola’s strength in qualifying, where his 10.5 average starting spot was his best in eight full seasons. At his introductory press conference in late 2017, Almirola spoke prophetically about his own expectations at SHR. “There are two types of athletes in the world,” he said. “There are the athletes that just want to be a part of the show, and there are the athletes who want to make the show.

A Nascar affiliated marketing company was looking for someone that could custom design and build a long life trailer. They looked toward Featherlite, Optima and several other well known aluminum trailer manufactures and were just not impressed. We gave them a tour of ATC's factory and introduced them to a couple of our engineers and they knew that ATC was the manufacture that they were looking for. ATC's CAD prints helped them know exactly how the trailers would be laid out so that they could order the simulators and other equipment to have installed. Advantage was able to provide business financing that made purchasing these trailers easy. Keep your eyes open at the following tracks and you may get to see this trailer in person and do some racing!
