Description IBM BPM V8.5 helps you: • Reduce the time and effort required to set up, manage, and expand IBM BPM environments - Installation package components are simplified: – A new streamlined user interface and powerful scripting options are included for installation, configuration, and administration. – An interactive installation guide helps to generate customized instructions for particular topologies. • Visualize process performance issues more easily, in real time, to help you improve business process outcomes - Built-in dashboards are completely revamped to help make it easier for you to recognize performance issues in real-time, and take corrective action: – New dashboards help you visualize performance of operational teams, performance of activities in in-flight process instances, and hot spots and critical paths in process flows. – Dashboards include the same social collaboration capabilities found in the Process Portal, such as activity streams and real-time links to experts, and so on. • Manage document artifacts and attachments consistently, whether stored internally or in external systems of record - A new internal repository is included for storing documents that are "attached" to process instances: – Internal process attachments can be stored and accessed using the same CMIS interfaces that were introduced in IBM BPM V8.0 for accessing documents in external content management systems. IBM United States Software Announcement 213-023 IBM is a registered trademark of International Business Machines Corporation 2 – CMIS interfaces offer an alternative to the non-CMIS interfaces used to access document attachments in previous releases. • Improve collaboration, communications, and change tracking between business process stakeholders using IBM Blueworks Live and implementation teams using IBM BPM - Includes "live" linkages between process documentation in IBM Blueworks Live and corresponding process applications implemented in IBM BPM: – A Business Process Design in IBM BPM can establish a reference link to a Blueworks Live process. – A Process Designer user can be notified when the referenced Blueworks Live process documentation is modified. • Quickly create new custom portable mobile applications for IBM BPM process applications - Includes an entitlement to IBM Worklight Enterprise Edition for Nonproduction Environment: – Helps promote the adoption of the Worklight development tools and a robust runtime environment for portable mobile applications that access IBM BPM processes. – Worklight entitlement permits immediate development and nonproduction testing of custom mobile applications. – Additional Worklight licenses are required when mobile applications are used for production.
