In addition to process management, workflow uses advanced analytics, business rules, and collaboration to drive more successful, optimized business outcomes. Business Automation Workflow on Cloud provides the same capabilities that are offered in the Business Automation Workflow offering, all within a ready-to-use, cloud-based environment that is hosted in IBM CloudTM data centers and managed by IBM(R). Business Automation Workflow on Cloud comes with two orderable editions: • Enterprise Offers a scalable experience to start or expand workflow capabilities into the cloud. It provides three environments by default to enable clients to move from different environments with ease: • Non-production development • Non-production testing • Production • Express Offers a low-cost entry point to get clients started in the cloud, together with the flexibility to rapidly scale as their business needs grow. By default, it includes two environments that can be scaled up to an Enterprise configuration as needs change: • Non-production development • Workflow runtime Business Automation Workflow helps organizations: • Design a business-friendly environment. • Easily implement changes for business agility. • Achieve visibility across end-to-end workflows. • Increase efficiency and consistency by reusing process components across multiple workflows. Description Business Automation Workflow on Cloud includes: • A flexible monthly subscription A cloud offering with a monthly subscription includes all the software, cloud infrastructure, and is operated by IBM. This enables clients to focus on their workflow solutions. • A highly secure, scalable cloud infrastructure The infrastructure is provisioned with one or more environments for developing and testing. It also provides a highly available, production solution with disaster recovery options and utilizes virtual machine and container technologies to deliver better speed and scalability. • Ability to quickly provision with immediate access IBM can provision an instance in 48 hours and can provide access so clients can get started on their projects and be productive almost immediately. • Access from the public cloud Access the cloud service from the public cloud or mobile devices through the cloud portal or use a separately available Virtual Private Network (VPN) to connect. Workflow capabilities include: • Tools that simplify designing and deploying business solutions • A ready-to-use interface for user that is flexible and customizable and can be extended to create role-based client experiences • An active-content infrastructure that manages the persisted case object model and enables content-based events for case activities • A common environment for straight-through processing, human, and case- oriented workflows • Rich analytics that provide several methods to track and measure workflow business performance • Methods to help users to gather the right content, apply analytics for more accurate decisions, and take necessary actions to assure better business outcomes IBM Europe Software Announcement ZP18-0447 IBM is a registered trademark of International Business Machines Corporation 2 • Ability to identify and incorporate both structured and unstructured content into workflows, regardless of where that content lives either on premises, in the cloud, or in the field with mobile devices Business Automation Workflow on Cloud is offered with two orderable editions: • Enterprise Business Automation Workflow on Cloud Enterprise offers a scalable experience for creating and running your workflows in the cloud. As this offering is based on a monthly subscription, clients can add more environments or storage as their needs grow with the capacity determined by purchase of concurrent users. Start with as few as 25 concurrent users per month. Capacity can grow to into thousands of users to support large deployments. Concurrent users provide a convenient way to support large numbers of infrequent users with a smaller number of concurrent user seats that is based on the actual number of real users accessing the system at the same time. • Express Business Automation Workflow on Cloud Express offers an entry point for businesses that need to get started in the cloud in a minimal fashion. It provides a development and runtime environment that can support a smaller number of users and can be converted to an Enterprise configuration as needs change. Because this offering is based on a monthly subscription with the capacity determined by purchase of concurrent users, clients can start with as few as 10 concurrent users per month. Business Automation Workflow on Cloud combines the technologies that were formerly part of the IBM Business Process Manager (IBM BPM), IBM BPM on Cloud, and IBM Case Manager offerings. For businesses seeking to move their IBM BPM, IBM Case Manager, IBM Case Foundation, or other product for on-premises deployments to this cloud service, IBM recommends a Lab Services migration assessment to determine the best approach for your specific requirements. To request a migration assessment, contact your IBM representative or IBM Business Partner.
