Fellow Coug Anna Rodgers placed 5/7 UW Invitational (Seattle) second in the long jump as well behind Newman with a jump of 19-feet 3/4 inches (5.81m). Giovanna 5/14 Pac-12 Championships (Los Angeles) Rhoads went on to win the high jump event with season-best clearance of 5-feet 3 1/4 inches (1.61m). 5/15 Pac-12 Championships (Los Angeles) 5/16 Pac-12 Championships (Los Angeles) Skyler Walton posted a victory in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.80. Samantha Boyle recorded a JUNE personal best in the 5000-meter, finishing with an overall time of 18:16.98. WSU saw yet another win on 6/9 NCAA Outdoor Championship the day from Elise Unruh-Thomas as she took first place in the 200-meter dash at 24.73. (Eugene, OR) 6/10 NCAA Outdoor Championships (Eugene, OR) 6/11 NCAA Outdoor Championships Anchoring the Cougar men was John Kolb who placed first overall in the discus throw with a mark of (Eugene, OR) 170-feet 7 inches (52.01m). Joseph Jensen turned in a third-place finish in the discus as well, posting a 6/12 NCAA Outdoor Championships (Eugene, OR) mark of 153-feet 7 inches (46.81m). Daylon Hicks posted a personal-best in the high jump of 6-feet 7 3/4 5/27 NCAA West Regional inches (2.03m) to earn another win for the Cougs. RayRay Wells Jr. and Ja’Maun Charles went first and (College Station, TX) second in the 100-meter dash as Wells posted a season-best time of 10.34, and Charles with a personal 5/28 NCAA West Regional (College Station, TX) best of 10.40. The WSU men continued picking up the victories, as Nick Johnson won the 110-meter 5/29 NCAA West Regional (College Station, TX) hurdles with a time of 14.14 overall. The 4x100-meter relay team of Sam Brixey, RayRay Wells Jr., Ja’Maun Charles, and Blake Deringer took first with ease in the event, running an overall time of 40.65.     Honoring Head Coach Terry Franson and his great multi-event tradition Covid Considerations: • NO SPECTATORS. • Club/unattached athletes must check-in one hour prior to the start of your section and provide proof of a negative PCR COVID test result taken within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test taken within 24 hours of the start of the competition. After a symptoms tracker and temperature check, wrist bands will be provided. • Team check-in: One coach must provide proof for all team personnel of a negative test result (72 hours PCR, 24 hours Rapid Test) and a completed symptom tracker list for your team from the following link: o https://formstack.apu.edu/forms/visitors_health_assessment_form • APU Athletic Trainers will only be available for emergency situations and will not provide ice baths. • Bring your own drinking bottle. Water refill will be available. • Maintain your 6 foot social distance from other competitors, officials, and meet workers. • Personal umbrellas and tents are allowed on the infield. • Throwing implements should not be shared. Implements will be retrieved by a masked and gloved official and set down outside the sector. The Ducks won five national titles between the fall of 2012 and the spring of 2014 in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field. On Saturday, Johnson's résumé gained an item that moves to the top of the list. One year after Oregon men's team ended a 30-year title drought at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the women did the same Saturday at Hayward Field. That gave the Ducks a sweep of the outdoor team titles in 2015, and for the first time in school history. "That's the crown jewel," Johnson said, a few minutes after being doused with the contents of an ice bucket for the second time in as many days. The Oregon women's march to the NCAA team title wasn't as dominant as that of the men. And the Ducks dug themselves a hole at the outset of the final session of the four-day meet --the 4x100-meter relay quartet was disqualified after a bad second exchange. Where the women followed suit with the men was in getting a couple of meet-changing performances that busted the form chart. The first came when Jenna Prandini leaned to the 100-meter title in a windy 10.96 seconds, and the second came 30 minutes later when precocious freshman Raevyn Rogers claimed the 800-meter crown.
