In order for us to get you close to the action, we need all spectators to follow a few basic guidelines: 1. Do not enter any areas that are flagged-off. 2. Please follow any instructions given to you by an Invitational Meet Official. 3. The track is closed when running events are in progress. 4. The infield area is not open during field events. We encourage you to find a seat in the stands where you can see the event rather than watching from the field; however, seating is available in the throwing area. 5. Be courteous to all the athletes, officials, and volunteers! 6. Cheer and encourage athletes when appropriate, especially for long distance running. Always cheer with a positive attitude for everyone. 7. Please be patient between events. Bringing out the best performances in athletes takes time. 8. If you would be willing to volunteer please let the us know as we can always use more help. 2015 YMCA rack & Field Invitational 2018 YMCA Track & Field Invitational Team Idaho Track Club Team Idaho was started in 1978 to provide a grass-roots opportunity for youth to participate in Track & Field. The first year the club had 15 kids. Today the club has over 600 participants. The goal of Team Idaho is to help participants at all levels improve their specific Track & Field skills, make new friends, and have fun. As with all YMCA Youth Sports Programs, the intent of Y-Track & Field is to teach and demonstrate character values through sports as well as give participants a safe place to participate and provide them with access to caring adult mentors. The head coach for Team Idaho is Tim Severa, a 39-year YMCA Employee who was the co-founder of the Team Idaho Track Club. Tim is well known and respected in the community for his skill and love of Track and Field. Runner’s World Magazine awarded Tim the Golden Shoe Award in 1989 for his efforts in making running a mainstream sport in the Treasure Valley. Assisting Tim is a group of 10 staff leaders and over 40 assistant coaches with over two centuries of combined Track & Field coaching experience. Many of our coaches have a Level One USAT & F Coaching Certification. Some of our coaches even participated in Team Idaho when they were younger. You won’t find a better Track & Field coaching staff anywhere in the State of Idaho. For more information about the Team Idaho Track Club, contact Tim Severa at 208-344-5502 x211 www.team-idaho.org 2018 YMCA Track & Field Invitational Thank You! The Ducks won five national titles between the fall of 2012 and the spring of 2014 in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field. On Saturday, Johnson's résumé gained an item that moves to the top of the list. One year after Oregon men's team ended a 30-year title drought at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the women did the same Saturday at Hayward Field. That gave the Ducks a sweep of the outdoor team titles in 2015, and for the first time in school history. "That's the crown jewel," Johnson said, a few minutes after being doused with the contents of an ice bucket for the second time in as many days. The Oregon women's march to the NCAA team title wasn't as dominant as that of the men. And the Ducks dug themselves a hole at the outset of the final session of the four-day meet --the 4x100-meter relay quartet was disqualified after a bad second exchange. Where the women followed suit with the men was in getting a couple of meet-changing performances that busted the form chart. The first came when Jenna Prandini leaned to the 100-meter title in a windy 10.96 seconds, and the second came 30 minutes later when precocious freshman Raevyn Rogers claimed the 800-meter crown.
