Multicultural trends actively developing in the context of the American mainstream are characterized. The scientific research analyzes the literary activity of Ukrainian-American representatives of multicultural literature; it outlines the problems of writers’ works of art from ethno-cultural point of view. INTRODUCTION Contemporary American literature is represented by a great deal of trends, currents and ideas and it is in constant developing due to the emergence of new creative people.
