The mission of KLRN is to use the power of telecommunications to provide quality programs and services which advance education, culture and community, to enrich the lives of people throughout South Central Texas. KLRN is very pleased to partner with KVDA, Channel 60, the local Telemundo affiliate. KVDA served as the official media sponsor for the 2007 KLRN's women's health conference, Hablando de la Salud de la Mujer. As the official media sponsor, KVDA aired promotional spots for the conference, provided booth space at the local Diez y Seis event. They also donated items to the gift bags for each of the 400+ attendees. Several of their staff served on our steering committee that planned the conference and provided translation services for this bilingual event. KVDA also assisted in sponsor solicitation for the event, and was instrumental in securing one of our largest sponsors.
