PROJECT NAME AND SITE DESCRIPTION

Description of the Project The main purpose of the project is providing sufficient water supply for 898 bovine cattle and 1628 small cattle directly in the pasture. Proposed sub-project envisages improvement of pastures watering network in community. The following construction activities will be implemented under the proposed sub-project:

 Installation of 1 concrete springs collection point/ water catchment,  Installation of 2 water way main waterways with total length of 3560 m,  1566 m length (PE 50 mm) waterways will be connected to - water main, operated by Shirak Jur CJSC  1994 m length ( PE 90 mm ) waterway will be connected to Krasar- Maralik water main, operated by Shirak Jur CJSC too  Construction of two 30 long metallic troughs- semi-pipes installed on concrete - cobblestone platform.

The design for pastures watering network has been developed by the ANUSHIK JRER design company under the contract concluded with Agricultural Project Implementation Unit. Project implementation area, Republic of Armenia, community Shirak marz, Gusanaghyugh community Project site location Project implementation area is located at a distance of 120 km from Yerevan city and 3 km from Gusanaghyugh community.

characterized with warm and humid summers (average air temperature in July comprises +16.oC, relative humidity is about 45-60% and cold winters (average air temperature in January varied from -5oC to -12oC, relative humidity is 70%).

Locations and distance for material Water for construction works will be provided by water cistern sourcing, especially aggregates, water, track. Aggregates and machinery will be obtained from the stones licensed providers within the project area. Contractor may choose to extract equipment himself, in which case contractor must obtain an extraction license prior to commencement of extraction. Metallic and PE pipes as well as all fittings will be purchased from an official supplier.

TECHNICAL CONDITIONS

of connecting to water supply and wastewater systems operated by “Shirak Jur” Closed Joint Stock Company (AWSC)

Provided to Gusanaghyugh and Horom village community for Construction of watering places in their territory and for connection to Krasar- Maralik water main.

Water supply with __5__ m3/day (1l/sec) is possible to carry out Krasar - Maralik water- main t For this purpose it is required to: a) build a water-line according to design, b) connect the water-line to the operating water-pipe with a diameter of 500 mm, c) build a manhole with regulating valves at the connection point, by putting pressure regulator d) install a water meter at the connection point e) move W&W networks under the structures according to the design, f) not exceed maximum quantity of the water used - 1l/sec.

At the same time take into consideration that: a) water supply regime will be provided according to the water supply regime established for the given block of the habitat, b) water pressure at the connection point is around atm., 22 c) burial depth of operating water-pipe at the connection point is 1,5m d) material of the operating pipe-line at the connection point is steel, e) water meter with 20mm is installed, which connection point is sealed with N holograph seal. The applicant shall not hinder the regular work of the water meter. Specifications are given for two years’ period up to ______2015.
