Proposed sub-project envisages improvement of pastures watering network in Gusanagyugh community. The following construction activities will be implemented under the proposed sub-project: Installation of 1 concrete springs collection point/ water catchment, Installation of 2 water way main waterways with total length of 3560 m, 1566 m length (PE 50 mm) waterways will be connected to Krasar- Maralik water main, operated by Shirak Jur CJSC 1994 m length ( PE 90 mm ) waterway will be connected to Krasar- Maralik water main, operated by Shirak Jur CJSC too Construction of two 30 long metallic troughs- semi-pipes installed on concrete - cobblestone platform. The design for pastures watering network has been developed by the ANUSHIK JRER design company under the contract concluded with Agricultural Project Implementation Unit. Project implementation area, Republic of Armenia, community Shirak marz, Gusanaghyugh community Project site location Project implementation area is located at a distance of 120 km from Yerevan city and 3 km from Gusanaghyugh community. Community Agricultural Resource Management and Competitiveness Project Environmental Management Plan 2 The one waterway will be connected to Krasar- Maralik water main, operated by Shirak Jur CJSC, and Technical Conditions for connection have been provided by mentioned company director to community mayor. Second waterway will be connected to the same water main. Land ownership Land required for the project implementation belongs to community. Description of geographic, physical, The sub-project site is located in Shirak marz, in Gusanaghyugh biological, geological, hydrographic community area. It is situated on Akhuryan river left side at the and socio-economic context elevation of 1500 m above sea level. From climatic perspective, the area is located in a cold zone and is characterized with warm and humid summers (average air temperature in July comprises +16.oC, relative humidity is about 45-60% and cold winters (average air temperature in January varied from -5oC to -12oC, relative humidity is 70%). Contractor may choose to extract equipment himself, in which case contractor must obtain an extraction license prior to commencement of extraction.
