Business from the previous meeting CCTV - Glen recapped the situation, noting that the school was going The Pub - it was noted that it had recently been boarded up, and with a notice put on the front about personal belonging. Giles confirmed that he would get in touch with the agents about the defibrillator. Land next to the pub - it was noted that it appeared as though planning applications had gone in for three sites around the district, but nothing had been heard from Selby about the proposed development on the land adjacent to the pub. Playpark - new nets had been ordered, the mole man had been asked to visit, and it was agreed that some equipment would be replaced and a general tidy-up would happen at a date to be determined in the spring. Water - Glen reported that a water test had revealed high iron levels (not problematic). There were on-going issues over the pumping station in the middle of the village which we were continuing to keep pressure on in order to get a permanent resolution, rather than the temporary daily pump-out that is currently being done.

  • CEF - Covid-19 Community Group Support Funding September 2020
CEF - Covid-19 Community Group Support Funding September 2020 Offering financial assistance to local volunteer groups and networks who are responding to and recovering from the Covid-19 crisis. Please note the funding should only be used for such associated costs. Aim of the funding The aim of The CEF Covid-19 community support funding is to provide a ‘community float’. This will enable local voluntary groups to access financial assistance to support their activities that help communities to connect again. How do community networks access the funding? The funding is held by the Community Support Organisations (CSO) to administer on behalf of Selby District Council. The CSO will be responsible for coordinating and supporting a network of local voluntary community groups. Under this agreement the CSO will agree a simple payment system with each group across the CSOs network can access the fund. Each group that receives funding will need to produce proof of expenditure (i.e. receipts/invoices.) What expenditure is eligible? The funding can be used flexibly to enable groups to operate smoothly without financial barriers. How the funding has been used will be reviewed / discussed at each reporting stage but it is reasonable to conclude that this is likely to be: . Volunteer expenses (might be mileage, refreshments) in relation to covid-19 response/recovery activity . PPE (gloves, sanitisers etc) . Cleaning/sanitary equipment/items . Administrative/marketing supplies (printing, stamps, stationary etc) . Equipment to enable delivery of services (i.e. phone credit, games, social distance signage) What is not eligible? . Chapel Haddlesey C of E Primary School Millfield Road Chapel Haddlesey Selby YO8 8QF Proud to be part of The White Rose Federation One family branching out together Executive Headteacher: Mrs S. MacDonald Tel. no: 01757 270282 Head of School: Mrs R. Lindley Website: www.chapelhaddleseyschool.org.uk Email:[email protected]. 26th February 2021 Dear Parent/Carers On Monday, the Prime Minister announced that all schools will re-open on March 8th. Due to the small size of our schools, and the availability of our staff members, we will be able to welcome all year groups back on this date. We look forward to seeing the children return as we begin our catch-up programme, which will continue throughout the summer term. We are fortunate that, as a small school, we can operate as a big bubble, but where possible, classes will operate in class bubbles, learning, playing and eating together. This means that we will operate as we did in the Autumn term. We will continue to reinforce regular handwashing and encourage social distancing, though we appreciate that this may not be possible with our younger children. We will continue to operate a staggered start and finish time each day, alongside our one-way system when collecting children from the school and we will send you our updated risk assessments next week. Below are a few reminders and considerations: 1. Ideally, all children must attend school wearing full school uniform. We recognise that some parents may struggle to purchase new uniform or shoes before March 8th, please speak to the school office as we have some unsold uniform still in stock, but also please be reassured that we understand that there may be a transition period whilst you wait for some items to arrive.
