Terms and Conditions Central and Southern Terms and Conditions: NSW SunSmart Primary School Program Marquee Competition 1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. 2. It is assumed all entrants have read the Terms and Conditions prior to entering. 3. The competition is known as the NSW SunSmart Primary School Program Marquee Competition. 4. Entry is open to all eligible non SunSmart NSW primary schools that join the SunSmart Primary School Program from 8 October 2012 and are classified as a SunSmart School before 5pm AEST on 21 December 2012. I 'I L ,_ I • - 1 - 1 • INTRODUCTION Seasonal conditions were excellent for rice growing in the 1966-67 rice season. Cold weather in early October delayed the emergence of early aerial -sown crops. It was feared that due to very dry conditions in the previous winter water restrictions could be imposed. This led to an enormous increase in the area of aerial-sown rice. Generally the resulting yields were good but severe lodging made harvesting operations expensive. The Autumn was extremely dry and harvesting operations progressed uninterrupted. The area sown to rice increased to 73,669.4 acres, producing 210,939 tons of rice, averaging 2.863 ton/acre.

This submission is made on behalf of Costco Wholesale (Australia) Pty Ltd ( Costco ) in relation to part of 32-40 Cawarra Road, Caringbah (the Site ). Costco does not own the Site but is in negotiations with the landowner, Leda Holdings, to develop it. Costco made a submission on the original exhibited version of the draft Sutherland Local Environmental Plan 2013 (Draft LEP ). Costco subsequently provided additional justification at the request of Council officers. Both of these documents are attached . Costco’s submission requested that a Costco warehouse (categorised as a ‘shop’ in the Standard Instrument) be made permissible on the Site under Schedule 1 (Additional Permitted Uses) of the Draft LEP. The submission was detailed, well-reasoned and supported by a Concept Plan, a Preliminary Market Analysis and Traffic Analysis. Key points raised in the submission included: ° Demonstrated market demand for a Costco warehouse in the Sutherland Shire; ° Economic benefits for the Sutherland Shire, including significant employment opportunities; ° Consistency with the strategic planning framework and vision, including the Sutherland Employment Strategy; ° Consistency with Section 117 Directions; ° Consistency with the B7 Business Park objectives; and ° Suitability of the site for a Costco warehouse due to its size, location within an employment area and proximity to transport corridors and bulky goods retailers. The Draft LEP was then amended, and development for the purpose of a ‘shop’ was made permissible with consent under the second exhibited version.

Whilst at the Open level we acknowledge the winners of the Championships, the aim of this Round-Robin series is to traditionally select our 2021 Open Boys and Girls State Teams and our 16 & Under Boys State Team. However, in 2021 due to COVID restrictions and limitations there will be no further progression following the All Schools Championships and Merit Teams will be announced (Open Boys & Girls only) to recognise the achievements of those outstanding players across the All Schools Championships. Due to the cancellation of the School Sport Australia Championships NSWCHS made a collective decision not to par- take in this years 16 & Under Tri-Series, however the Independent and Catholic Sectors decided to proceed and invited Westfields Sports High Schools to participate as an invitational team. Our Association has some very fine players and also we are fortunate to have dedicated and professional staff across all sectors who continue to support these talented athletes and the tradition of these final State trials.

    Book 3 – John and Mary Ann Hardman – Bendick Murrell 1 John and Mary Ann Hardman (Bendick Murrell) Compiled by: John Malone Cootamundra NSW [email protected] JOHN and MARY ANN HARDMAN – NEW SOUTH WALES According to death certificate information, John and Mary Ann Hardman spent 7 years in Victoria, before moving north to settle in NSW, giving his arrival in NSW as 1860-1861. There is evidence however that John Hardman was still living at Four Mile Flat near Avoca, Victoria in 1864, as per the following newspaper article: On the 28th January 1864, the Avoca Mail reported that the Wesleyan Chapel at Homebush had been completely guttered ‘by some sacrilegious thieves’. All the internal fittings, including windows, seats, books and even the kerosene lamp, were removed overnight. ‘Acting on information received, the police discovered the whole of the stolen property on the premises of ….. a butcher living at Homebush’ and he and his wife were accordingly arrested. At the Police Court, evidence was given by James Farquhar, the keeper of the chapel, and also by John Hardman, who was chairman of a committee for improving the chapel.” John and Mary Ann Hardman were to later settle at Bendick Murrell near Young NSW, the most likely movement taking John and Mary Ann Hardman firstly from the Four Mile Flat Goldfields, Victoria to the: Lambing Flat Goldfields There is limited direct evidence but it appears most likely that John and Mary Ann Hardman and their two very young children Ada and Emily, ventured north and at least for a short period may have eagerly anticipated seeking their fortune on the Lambing Flat Goldfields (from which the township of Young NSW developed).
