Document de référence 2016 — THALES 1 MESSAGE DU PRÉSIDENT « 2016 a représenté une nouvelle étape réussie de notre stratégie de croissance rentable. Les prises de commande se sont maintenues à un niveau élevé, dépassant les ventes de l’année pour la quatrième année consécutive. Le Groupe a notamment connu de très beaux succès commerciaux dans le multimédia de bord, dans la signalisation ferroviaire urbaine, avec l’extension du métro de Dubaï, et dans la défense et sécurité, avec l’achat par l’Inde de 36 avions de combat Rafale. La signature de ces grands contrats confirme la dynamique du Groupe dans les marchés émergents, une de nos priorités stratégiques depuis 2013. La croissance organique du chiffre d’affaires a presque atteint + 7 %, portée par l’ensemble de nos activités. La rentabilité a continué de progresser en ligne avec nos objectifs de moyen terme. Dans le même temps, nous avons pu augmenter les investissements dans l’innovation, la transformation numérique, et le développement des talents. Pour les prochaines années, les priorités stratégiques de Thales sont inchangées. Nous restons focalisés sur la mise en œuvre de l’ensemble des leviers de performance identifiés dans le cadre d’Ambition 10, qu’il s’agisse des leviers de croissance et de compétitivité ou du développement des talents, indispensable à la réussite d’un Groupe de hautes technologies. Thales pourra notamment s’appuyer sur la dynamique solide de ses marchés civils, tirés par des tendances de long terme telles que la croissance du transport aérien, l’urbanisation croissante des pays émergents, ou la nécessité d’accroitre l’efficacité des infrastructures de transport dans les pays matures.
