The document will meet National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) requirements and will encompass the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) and general forests of Lake Tahoe's west shore, leading to implementation-ready projects to protect communities and restore ecosystem resilience. Nominating Agency/Entity: USDA Forest Service Funding Requested: $1,367,160 Project Description: The USDA Forest Service, Carson Ranger District, will complete the planning and environmental analysis of approximately 21,500 acres of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Washoe County, Nevada, for future treatment of hazardous fuels on National Forest System lands within the wildland urban interface of the planning area.
