Day Itinerary This morning you will arrive into Johannesburg where you will connect to your flight to Lusaka in Zambia.

On arrival in Zambia collect your luggage and clear customs and immigration. Thereafter you will be met by your guide and it's straight into touring. You'll be taken to Chisamba Farming Block to visit a large farming operation which is involved in beef, seed maize, arable (crops) and poultry.

From there you'll visit Seed Research Station, here they grow a number of grass seeds for pasture production which are then sold on the local market. In addition they also have another company which produces a range of natural skin care products and have a number of their own spas within Lusaka. Enjoy lunch on the farm.

Tonight the group will either overnight at a Guest Farm in Chisamba or at Chisamba Safari Lodge depending on final numbers.

Day 3: Protea Hotel by Marriott Lusaka Safari Lodge, Zambia (Thu, 25 July)

Day Itinerary This morning there's a visit to a Macadamia Nut farmer who produces nuts for the local market. Macadamia are indigenous to Australia and generally do quite well in Southern Africa.

Afterwards head off to have lunch with a private commercial farmer who grows maize, wheat, tobacco and who also farms beef and game. Enjoy lunch on the farm.

Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lilayi Lodge, Lusaka (Fri, 26 July)

Day Itinerary This morning you'll head south through the centre of Lusaka (capital City of Zambia) to visit an integrated pig, fish, beef and game farm.

You'll also have an afternoon visit to a beef and arable farm.

This evening it's dinner at the beautiful Lilayi Lodge where you'll be spending the night.

Lusaka, Zambia’s cosmopolitan capital, is a typical modern African city. Set on open plains at the heart of the country, the city serves as Zambia’s rapidly developing economic and transport hub with new buildings popping up everywhere and many chain stores and shopping malls springing up all over the sprawling suburbs. Lusaka’s wide, tree-lined boulevards feature a range of tourist facilities including hotels, guest houses, coffee shops, fast food outlets, nightclubs and pubs. Visitor attractions include the Henry Tayali Gallery, showcasing local artworks; The National Museum, covering Zambia's colonial history; the Lilayi Elephant Orphanage; and a number of colourful markets. Don’t miss the popular Munda Wanga Environmental Park where you will find a Wildlife Park and Sanctuary, Botanical Gardens, Recreational Village and an Environmental Education Centre

Day 5: Royal Zambezi Lodge, Lower Zambezi (Sat, 27 July)

Day Itinerary An early morning departure today with a packed breakfast. Head south through Lusaka city centre, past Kafue town and down to the Lower Zambezi River. Depending on traffic the trip could take about 3 to 4 hours.

Visit Zambeef Chiawa Farms. This is a large arable farming operation which irrigates over 2000 ha of maize & soya beans in summer and maize& wheat in winter, all irrigated from the Zambezi River . They also branch out with some fish farming and grow lucerne all year round.

After lunch at a nearby Lodge you'll then hop aboard a boat and head down the Zambezi River to the Royal Zambezi Lodge. A luxury lodge built on the banks of the Zambezi River.

Evening sundowner/game cruise on the Zambezi River (Africa’s 4th largest River) and there is a chance for some of you to throw a rod in to try and catch a tiger fish. Common animals seen are elephant, hippo and buffalo.

Located on the Zimbabwean border in southern Zambia the Lower Zambezi National Park is known for its exceptional, undeveloped wildlife areas. It is known for its abundant game and a variety of different wildlife can be spotted such as hippos, buffalo, crocodiles, fish eagles and herds of elephants. The landscape features rugged unspoilt wilderness made up of vast floodplains scattered with woodlands. Visitors can look forward to an array of wonderful activities along the Zambezi including game drives, walking safaris, canoe trips and excellent tiger fishing.

Day Itinerary The following two days are yours to enjoy the activities and facilities of Royal Zambezi Lodge.

There are many activities offered at Royal Zambezi Lodge – including game drives, walks, night drives, tiger fishing and canoeing.

Game viewing The lodge is surrounded by game management area which offers fantastic game viewing in open woodland, grassy floodplains and riverine forest. The Lower Zambezi National Park, only five minutes drive away, is home to huge herds of Elephants and Buffalo, and offers frequent and reliable Lion and Leopard sightings. The river is an ideal place to view wildlife and birdlife. Clients can opt for open vehicle drives, night drives, bush walks in the area or boat trips for game-viewing. Enjoy walking safaris, photographic safaris and Birding safaris - the riverine ecosystem host spectacular Birdlife.

Day 7: Royal Zambezi Lodge, Lower Zambezi (Mon, 29 July)

Fishing The Lower Zambezi offers one of the finest freshwater angling experiences in the world. Expert resident guides take fishing excursions on new, fully-fitted aluminium boats. For guests who are new to fishing or fly-fishing, our guides provide expert instruction and assistance. Rods, Tackle and flies are provided although enthusiasts may bring their own. All fishing is on a catch and release basis. Fly fishing is an extra $50 per person per day for any groups over 2 people.

Day 8: Camp Nkwazi, Livingstone (Victoria Falls) (Tue, 30 July)

Day Itinerary This morning you'll take a Charter flight to Livingstone. Livingstone is the adventure Capital of Zambia and renowned for the mighty Victoria Falls which she shares with Zimbabwe.

Met upon arrival in Livingstone then head north for about 1 and a half hours to the cattle ranching area of Zambia. Visit and enjoy lunch at a commercial beef farm producing for the local market.

Afterwards head back to Livingstone you'll will be spending the next couple of nights at Camp Nwazi. A tented lodge on the banks of the upper Zambezi River.

One of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site and an extremely popular tourist attraction. Known locally as ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ this spectacle is accessible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe and it is an ideal place to combine game viewing and water sports. There is excellent fishing, a terrifying bungee jump and arguably the best commercial whitewater rafting in the world.

Overnight: Camp Nkwazi Camp Nkwazi, is nestled on the banks of the mighty Zambezi river,+- 20 minutes’ drive from Livingstone. The river extends the length of the property and there are breathtaking views over the water with the sightings of a variety of game, rich and rare bird life with the likes of Fish Eagle, African Fin Foot, Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Paradise Flycatcher, Horn-Bill, King Fishers, Bee-eaters etc.etc. Fishing is good with the potential of catching a tiger or bream

P a g e | 9 close to your chalet. Camp Nkwazi is located close to the Mosi-Oa Tunya, Chobe and Kafue national parks and right opposite the Zambezi National Park.

Day 9: Camp Nkwazi, Livingstone (Victoria Falls) (Wed, 31 July)

Day Itinerary Today venture into Mosi O Tunya National Park – Zambia’s smallest park and be on the lookout for white rhino. Following which you'll visit a nearby Tilapia farm.

Tilapia are mainly freshwater fish inhabiting shallow streams, ponds, rivers and lakes and less commonly found living in brackish water. Historically, they have been of major importance in artisanal fishing in Africa, and they are of increasing importance in aquaculture and aquaponics. Interestingly Tilapia are considered an invasive pest in Australia. As they're able to adapt to a variety of water conditions they quickly spread and take over dams, creeks and rivers due to their aggressive nature and effective breeding strategies.

Enjoy lunch on the farm and then head off to a Tobacco and Banana Farm.

Return to Camp Nkwazi for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Camp Nkwazi, Livingstone (Victoria Falls) (Thu, 1 August)

Day Itinerary Today visit the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side of the river and some of the local markets. Head back to the lodge for lunch. Some time to relax before partaking on sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

Day 11: Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge, Chobe National Park (Fri, 2 August)

Day Itinerary Transfer roughly 1 and a half hours by road to Botswana. Clear custom and immigration formalities as you exit Zambia and enter Botswana. Arrive in time for a lunch time game cruise on the Chobe River. Chobe National Park is renowned for its large concentrations of wildlife and in particular elephant.

From here you will be transferred to the Pandamatenga Farm block, Botswana’s biggest commercial farming area. There are over 43,000 hectares of rain fed crops on black cotton soils - mainly sorghum, cowpeas, mung- beans, chickpeas, millett & sunflower. All grown for the local market.

Arrive late afternoon at Wild Tracks Eco Lodge – a luxury lodge situated on the edge of the Pandamatenga farm block and Hwange National Park (Zimbabwe).

Renowned for its impressive, shifting migratory population of more than 50 000 elephants, Chobe National Park is situated in the far northeast of Botswana, bordered to the north by the mighty Chobe River. It is the second largest national park in Botswana featuring four distinct ecosystems: the Savuti Channel in the west; the Linyanti Swamps in the northwest; the arid hinterland in between and Serondela in the extreme northeast with fertile plains and thick forests. This diversity of habitats provides a sanctuary to an astonishing array of African wildlife. In addition to spotting Chobe's great pachyderm herds, you are likely to spot lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog, impala, waterbuck, kudu, zebra, wildebeest giraffe, and warthog. The park is also famous for its wonderful riverboat safaris, making Chobe an essential destination for any avid safari enthusiast.
